## **Introduction**
The Trustees of The MumMum Foundation are pleased to present their Annual Report for the year 2024 / 2025.
This year has been one of meaningful growth, increased reach, and deep human impact. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity and continued support received throughout the year — most notably a kind and significant donation from the Mayor of Bromley — the Foundation has been able to expand its support to more families than ever before.
## **The Foundation’s Purpose**
The MumMum Foundation exists to support families affected by cancer and serious illness, offering practical help, comfort, dignity, and moments of relief during profoundly difficult times. Our approach remains simple but deeply personal: to help where help is needed most, with compassion at the heart of everything we do.
## **Highlights of 2024 / 2025**
## **Expanded Support to Families**
The Trustees are proud to report that, due to increased funding this year, the Foundation was able to significantly broaden its support, including:
- Assisting a family with the provision of a memorial, ensuring their loved one was remembered with dignity and care.
- Supporting families with short breaks and holidays, offering valuable time together away from the pressures of illness.
- Providing funding for meals out, giving families the opportunity to enjoy moments of normality, connection, and respite during challenging periods.
These acts, while modest in financial terms, carried enormous emotional value for the families involved.
## **Supporting Inspirational Individuals**
One particularly meaningful highlight of the year was the Foundation’s support of Betsi, a truly inspirational young person who received care at The Royal Marsden. Her strength, positivity, and courage deeply moved everyone connected with the Foundation.
The Trustees are proud that MumMum was able to contribute in a way that brought comfort and encouragement, reinforcing our commitment to supporting individuals as well as families.
## **Awareness, Branding, and Community Presence**
During 2024 / 2025, the Foundation also made significant strides in raising awareness across the Borough. Increased visibility has helped to:
- Strengthen recognition of the MumMum Foundation’s mission
- Encourage community engagement and conversations around cancer support
- Lay strong foundations for future fundraising and partnerships
Improved branding and presence have ensured that the Foundation is not only helping more people, but that more people know where to turn when support is needed.
## **Financial Overview**
The Trustees confirm that all funds received during the year were applied directly in line with the Foundation’s charitable objectives. The Mayor’s generous donation played a pivotal role in enabling the increased level of support delivered during the year.
The Trustees are satisfied that the Foundation continues to operate responsibly, transparently, and with careful stewardship of funds.
## **Trustees’ Reflection**
The Trustees consider 2024 / 2025 to have been a fantastic year for the MumMum Foundation — one defined by compassion in action, meaningful outcomes, and a growing sense of community around the charity.
Every family supported, every smile created, and every moment of relief provided stands as a reminder of why the Foundation exists.
## **Looking Ahead**
As the Foundation moves into the next year, the Trustees remain committed to:
- Continuing to support families affected by cancer and serious illness
- Expanding reach where resources allow
- Building on the awareness achieved across the Borough
