The object[s] of the CIO[are]
To preserve or assist in the preservaton of life in, on and near water,
primarily but not exclusively in the United Kingdom, by the provision
of aid and assistance to those in need of rescue and by any other
means that the trustees see ft.
For the purpose of this clause the term ‘water’ is not limited to water
in its simple form and may include other mediums such as mud,
quicksand, slurry pits, ice, snow or solids which may react and fow as
a liquid such as sand. The trustees have the power to interpret the
term water as they deem ft.
Nothing in this consttuton shall authorise an applicaton of the
property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in
accordance with [secton 7 of the Charites and Trustee Investment
(Scotland) Act 2005] and [secton 2 of the Charites Act (Northern
