March **2012** **TAR** 2 The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit. The main activities have been the provision of a foodbank at St Botolphs church hall, The Hill, Northfleet and a mobile foodbank at various locations within Gravesham. **Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** ## **Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)** We are grateful for the many hours volunteers have contributed to enable the provision of foodbank services. March **2012** **TAR** 3 Section D Achievements and performance **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** Hive Hope has provided a foodbank at Northfleet every Wednesday morning. We have also operated a mobile foodbank at different locations within Gravesham three times each week. During the course of the year we provided food for 10,000 local people. On average each person used foodbank nine times. We have also provided food for local schools to distribute to families in need. We continue to signpost clients to other organisations who can offer a broad range of services. This is sufficient to cover all planned expenditure for five months. Additional grant funding is expected.
