## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Each year HELP Dadaab provides distance-<br>learning courses, leading to a Diploma<br>qualifcaton, to refugees and residents in<br>Dadaab camps. The courses are provided by<br>Cambridge Internatonal College (CIC), whose<br>qualifcatons are recognised all over the world.<br>HELP Dadaab invited applicatons from potental<br>students for Distance Learning Diploma Courses<br>in subjects of their choice. These potental<br>students were unable to access educaton<br>elsewhere.<br>The project successfully distributed learning<br>materials to 167 sponsored students, enhancing<br>their educatonal experience and supportng<br>their academic needs for the year through<br>distance learning<br>HELP Dadaab and their sponsors; ANGEL<br>WELFARE AND EDUCATION TRUST (AWET) were<br>able to provide laboratory materials for the<br>students at Afweyne Secondary school. The<br>school had a laboratory structure that was<br>already there but lacked the materials, AWET<br>was able to fund the whole project and  provide<br>the school with the required laboratory<br>products<br>Through the generosity of the Walters Family in<br>funding this project, HELP Dadaab was able to<br>construct two classrooms at Northern<br>Cambridge School in Dadaab, This enhanced the<br>educatonal facilites thand accommodated<br>more students in the region.|





HELP Dadaab secured funding from the Network for Social Change charity to train community mobilizers in Dadaab, focusing on enhancing their skills and knowledge to effectively engage and mobilize community members. This initiative empowers local leaders to address community challenges and promote social cohesion. Through the generosity of the Priestley family, Help Dadaab was able to donate 50 school desks   to Northern Cambridge School in northeastern Kenya. During 2024 Help Dadaab has funded 15 casual teachers. These teachers have been distributed to various different schools within the North Eastern area of Kenya where there is a severe shortage of   teachers For the last 2 years HELP Dadaab has sponsored 2 females and 1 male medical students on a Diploma Medical course, studying at  the  North Coast Medical Training College in Kilifi county. Once graduated, these students will be a valuable asset to their communities.
