The spiritual mimstries are directed by 4 wups of people at Slllloh Church i.e. Pastor

ultimate legal responsibility.
The LeaderS￿p ieam are members of the Church who provide Care and oversight.
They evaluate the teaclllng mirnsty of the Church and review major ministy
decisions and initiatives. Each sewate group assist and supFx)rt the Pastor in their
mission of Pastoral Care. regular prayer for the sick with home visits. and attend
leadership meetings to uphold biblical standards so that the truth of Christ will remain
redible to th¢ cburch mcmbcrs and the widcr Community.

outlined Remuneration is provided to the Pastor througb a b&sic monthly stipend. All
other remuneration provided for TnLStees are for tbe reimbursement of expenKs

Th¢ Trusttts met 8 times via phoneline conf¢T¢ncc call that was host￿ by D.Grant
to discuss matters that facililate the smooth running of the churc￿ with regards to the
maintenance of the buildAn& Safeguardi￿ financial and le￿1 m8tters during these
uncertain times R.Woodley chaired these meetings.
I Covid-19 restrictions were now lifted for pla¢es of worship, but we were still
cautious at the Church by using sanitlzers before entering the &inctuary. Wc re-star*d
our Adult Sunday Sch(K>l teackn'ng on the 1418r22 and adapted the schedule of the
scrvi¢¢s to a later time.
We held the majonty of a]1 our services at the Church building including our national
mc¢tings. We held prayer. business and extraordinary meetings via zoom and
conference calls Thanks to all thc rn¢mb¢rs who hosted these meetings. and to the
cooperation and committnent of membeo leadership team& P&8toral team.

FingnciAI matters are discussed with the Finance te8m who operdte to a Ternis of
Reference agreed by the ChuKh Truste¢s on their bchalf. The Finance Team
held 6 fornal meetings via Zoom with exccllent attendance. w￿Ch was chaired by D.
Marshall.The members were". L. Lewis- TTeasurer. Y. Warner. D.GranL L, Francis. The team
also met several times at the Church building on a sall￿day or mid-week to sort out
infomation for the submission lo HMRC for the 2017 Gift aiil which was unsuccessful.
I'hc Finance team and ihe Trustees agreed that all fUts￿e submissions should be overseen by
at least one other ￿[SOll to ensu￿ due th'ligence. The 2018 aid repayinent was submitted
on the l?11?Q? wqth D.Marshall leading witb as8TStance from L.L£wis and D.GranLand
R.Wi)odle!. P.Laidlev as observers. We are pleased to rep)rt that H.M.R.C n]ade a
repa)meni to shilo￿ of £l1.251.25 to our claim on the 14112r22. The team also Co-ordll￿ted
the Charity Commission submission of -Annual Return 2021, Annual Accounts 2021 and
Annual Trustees reFK)rt 2021, wbi¢h was successfully submitted on the 3118r22.The team
continue to work to improve our processes to mak.e the submission efficient and timely. and
also to improve sistems to review the Encome& Expenditure and financial systems of the
main Church account.
We are grateful for the dedication and comrnitmcnt of the team, and e5￿CiallY to
D. Marshall who resigned on the 515r22 after many years of faIthfi￿ Service, to ensure that
Shiloh fll]ances are managed efficiently. traDswently and tin]ely. so that a legacy is
established that ivill stand the lest of time.

benefit of the public in Sandwell and in other parts of the United Kingdom &$

AcfiviTIES FOR ACHIEVtNG O&IEcfivES
The Church continues 10 pfoT¥ide regular public WoTs￿"p services on Sunday
mornings. but not niid-week yel and provides a sacred space for personal and
ollective prayer and contemplation &5 required. We were thankful and blessed with
the d¢dication of the Worship Team who led the singing-s. Williatns. S Johnson and
R. Howe. We also held Sunday school sessions for the children in our back hall. This
was c￿ordinated by D.MaTshall with P.Laidley and D. Williams assisting- we were
thankful for their dedication and commitment. Weekly Bible and prayer s¢ssion
services on Wednesdays c4)ntinued for the whole year for our senior members and
others. Ivhich iiTas co-ordinated and hosted by D.Grant and suptK)rted by R. Woodley.
We also held monthl> prayer and fasiing ￿lOn$ on the first Satutday morning via
conference call. which was hosted by D. GranL and co-ordinated by D.Marshall-until

Church hall. The meal was catered bv Roses. Aroma and stK)nsor¢d by the

Marshall and the Tntstees. Awards of appreciation of Past& Presenl service
were awarded to Missionary Gerzel Murray and Si5. Dorca5 Matshall.

Bishop and Pastor Pearcc from Living HO￿ UK Church were asked to present
the awards in appreciation of the hard work of both members at Sku'loh. for
over 25 years. This was a very enjoyable evenL
Oaks Preservation Company completed the Dampr￿fing work that started in
November 2021.we were pleased that thi's w&8 achieve4 as it covered
Health& Safety and Saf¢guarding for our members and the GeneraI public
During the period of May to August 2022 The Wheller Company carried out
Carpcnty& Rcfiubishment work on the Church building including'foilcts and
Back hall. and also LU)mplded the Decorating work startcd in 2021.
September 2022-PRS EleetrieAls instslled new desiLmated emergency
lighting and circuit in the Church back hall+ other maintenance work in th¢
tchcn with new LED lights. The Tn￿CeS also approved an Elextrical
Installation Condition Rewrt (EICR) on the whole building to &8sess& rcctify
areas in need of attention The T￿￿CeS agreed for Fire risk assessments& new
doors to comply with ¢xisting standards. The plan is for this work to b¢ carried
out in 2023.
sn2f2>Trustees Meetillg- Remuneration proFX)sal was receiv￿ from the
Finance Team via ch￿.r-D.Marsh81j for increase of donation ￿Ven to Widows
and also exprnses for the cleaning of the Church building. The Trustees
approved the PTOP)sal with immediate effect.
Tbe Churcb achieves this through:

isolated members to help improve mental well-being.
Monthly visits to nursing homes with planned services were cancelled due to
the Pandemic. but Harvest food boxes were given to Albion court Nursing
Home and also to Edward Sireet Hospitsl. Ccntrc ￿Int and Y.M.C. A.
A Church Food Bank thsthbuted to the needy ad hoc, within the local
community with food provided by Church members. We also issued fcM)d
pmcks from our supply to visitors who were in need that requested &8SiStance.

and for safeguarding reasons. We re-OTgdmsed the dates and sessions to
adapt. We held all our services at the Churcb building, and Takeaway meals +
Dinn¢T on th¢ Monday& Tuesday sessions was proVid￿j by our Caterer's-
Roses, Aroma for everyone who attended. We were blessed by the attendance
of our Pastor Blake and saints from Sheffield on the Saturday evening, Pastor
Blake our $￿aker. and gave us inspiring and encourwng words for our
unprecedented times. We continued our Convocation service starting at
10.30am-12noon with Prdyer&Ptaise, and then contributions from the Youth
and Ladics (kFMrtment.

On the Tuesday we had an Empowrrment teaching session from Eldcr
McLcan from Bethel Church, which Wds inforniative. inspiring and spiritually
uplifting. We were also grateful for other visiting Ministers and Pastors.
We thank the Lord for our Caterers, Hospitality team. and Administration
services.

September 2022-PRS Electricals iDSt8lled new designated emergency
lights'ng& circuit in Church back hall+ other maintenance work in the Kitchen
with new LED lights. The Tn￿te¢S also approved and Electrical Installation
Condition Report (EICR) on the whole building to assess& rectify areas in
necd of attcntion. Tbe Trustees also agreed for Fire risk aMessments& new
rire doors to comply with ezistiDg stXDdgrd& The plan is for thi5 work to be
carried out m 2023.
