ensure flfftds are applied solely towards the promotion of its objects, and to monitor
all the church accounts from all department. To oversee submission of annual return

The Head of Shiloh Church is Jesu5 ChrisL so we are all accountable to Him.
As a Church we aim to uphold biblical standards through guidance of the Holy Spirit
ith Prayer and Fasting.
We airn to develop quality relationships in our Church and community in reswnse to
the command given by our LA)rd to love one another. grow thsciples and participate in
God's mission of reconciliation, so that our mission will be eff￿tive and in line with
his word.

The spiritual ministnes are dxrected by 4 groups of people at Shiloh Church i.e. Pastor
and Pastoial team. Clergy. and De￿ent Team I£ads, with the Tnistees takmg
ultsmate legal r¢stK)nsibility.
The Ikad¢rs￿p team are members of the Church who provide care and oversight.
They evaluate the teaclll'ng ministy of the Church and review major mintsty
decisions and initiatives. Fach separate group assist and support the Pastor in their
mission of Pastoral care. regular prayer for the sick with home visits. and attend
leaderslu'p meetings to uphold biblical standards so that th¢ truth of Chn'st will rem￿n
crethble to the church members and the wEd¢r community
The Department Team Leaders are resp)L8ible for their des]￿ted areas of ministy
which involve..
The encouragement and motivation of members to find their potential in
Christ.
The organising of designated Sunday services. allocating assignments to
empower members lo be acts've in the Church.
The organising of annual fellowship meetings. Seminars. Forums and Retreats
that are open to local and nats'onal Churches and the general public.
The organising and sign posting of Education and Training events. and social
activities int¢rnal and ¢xt¢rnal to th¢ Church prornoling holistic car¢ for the
mernbers.
The DeaconslDeacon¢ss and Ushers work with the Pastor and department team
leaders to ensure orderly conduci& the practical areas of the Church are maintained.
The whole Church on the recommendatson of the Pastor& Pastoral teanl and
leadership tcam approves new leadership team members.
The Church Trustees are accountable to the Chan'ty Commission for the work the
Church participates in. and carry the legal responsibility for the decisions that are
made by the Church.
This responsibility is fulfilled under the dir¢ttion and ¢ollaboration of the Paslor&
Pastoral team, Clergy and Lcadership T¢anL workin8 in the different capacity groups
outlined. Remuneration is providcd to th¢ Pastor through a basic monthly stipcnd. All
other remunerdtion provided for Trustees are foi the reimbursement of expenses
whilst carying out their duties.

Th¢ Trustecs met 8 times via phoneline conference call that was hosted by D.GTant
to discuss matters that facilitate the smooth n]nning of the Church. wtth regards lo the
maintenance of the build￿g, safeguarth'n& financial and lega] matters during these
uncertain tim¢s R.Woodley ch￿red these meet&ngs.
The national lockdown Step 3 of the government rules were lifte(L and pla¢es of
Worship were opened in March 2021 with restrictions, ie. wearing of face coverin&
temperature checks& r¢cording T¢st& Trace docum¢ntats'on+ using sanitisers before
entering the Sanctuary. Thanks to the effort of tbe Ushers that were thorough and
efficient, we were compliant. 2021 was another challenging year, as sorne of our
members caught the Coronovirus. but we are more than ￿nquerOrs through Christ.
We held the majority of our service5 in the Churcb buildin& but held other national
meetings via zoom- Thanks to all the members who hosted these meetings. and to the
cooperation and commitment of members. leadership team& Pastoral team.

Financial matters are discussed with the Finance team who operate to a Ternis of
R¢t"erence agreed by the Church Trust￿S on theTT behalf. The Finance Team
held 8 formal meetsngs via Zoom which w&5 chaired by D. Marshall. they also met severa]
times at the Church builthno on a Saturdav or mid-week to sort out inforn￿tIon for our
submission to HMRC for the 2017 Gift aid. They Cowordinated the Charity Commission
financial report,-Annual Return 2020. Annual Accounts, and r¢￿stered for online banking.

We are grateful for the dedication and commitment of the team to ensure that Shiloh finances
are managed efficiently, transparently and timely, so that a legacy is established that will
sland the test of time.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIvrrtES
Objects of the charity:
To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the basis of beliefs for the
b¢n¢fit of the public in Sandwell and in oth¢i FQrts of the Unjted ￿ngdorn as
the M￿re¢S may from time to ume think fit
To advance the education of the public in the Christian faith in Sandwell and
in other parts of the United Kj'ngdorn.
To provide facilities for leisure. education and other recreational activities Tn
the interests of social welfare and wth the object of improving the conditions
of life for the benefii of the public in Sandwell. and in other such parts of the
United Kingdom. as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.
ACTIVITIES FOR ACHIEVING OBJECTIVES
The Church usually provides T¢gular public worship services at we¢kends and mid-
week. and provides a sacred space for persoDa] and collective PTay¢r and
contemplation. but because of the CoN'id-19 restrictions io places of Ni'orship, the
Church building was 0￿rt for a limited time on Sunday mornings only for worship

Sm￿n8-S. Williams, S.Johnson and IL Howe. We also h¢ld Sunday sch￿1 sessions

We continued our phone line Conference services for our Senior m¢mbers & others
who could not access Zoom in the aftern(M)ns on Sunday5 until March 2021.W¢¢kly
Bible scssion services on Wednesdays continued for the wholc year for our Senior
members & others, which was Co-ordinated and hosted by D.Grant and supported by
R. Woodlev.
We also held forthnightly Prayer sessioL8 on a Friday evening via Zoom that was
hosted by H. Brown and C(￿Ordinated by R.Woodley.We were blessed with
participation by our membets and with Pastor Blake from Sheffield leadmg some of
the prayer sessions.we started our forthnightly Bible Study sessions via Zoom on the

Adrninistering Deth'cation of infants on.. 24110121&31110121.Th¢ Funeral
service for S.Hylton was held at the Church building on 2611 IQI. We did not
have any Weddings at the Church building durAng 2021.
Provithng support ￿ build confidence of our m¢mb¢rs to IK involved in other
areas of ministry, Pastoral care via phone calls were ￿Ven to vuInerabl¢ and
isolated members to help improve mentsl well-being.
Monthly visits to nursing homes with planned s¢rvi¢cs were ¢an¢elled du¢ to
Covid-19. but when the restriclions were lifted Albion court care home
requested a Chn'stmas Carol service on the 19112r21. which was co-ordinated
by D.Grant and S.Johnson. with enthused parttcipation from the residents.
A Church Food Bank distributed to the needy witkn'n the local community with
food provided by Church members and th¢ Pastor, who took items frorn our
in-house Church supply to the local Elim distribution Church Centre.
Counselling of members and non-mcmbcrs through app)intment- via phon¢
calls and at the Church building.
Supporting chan'tsble social action in th¢ conllnunity- Sandwell Women's
refuge. and overseas donatsons were sent for- St.Vincent and Grenadines appeal.
We are also sp)nsoring a Family in Ukraine in association with Mercy Projects.
Shiloh Community Centre main areas of focus were as follows
l. A proposal to extend the legacy of Shiloh through the launch of the Pas(
Present and Purpose award.2. The budget prO￿SaI to improve the Church
ambience. 3. Craft Day to be held on 13 November 2021.Thi's initiative
was led by the chair-D. Marshall. with approval from the Trustees. Pastoral
team and Leadership team.
2. Our first meeting to Communicate D. Marshall's vision for Shiloh iKgacy,
Community plans& future plans and annual Dinner& awards for Shiloh
Past. Present& Purpose awards was on the 11110121 with the P&storal team.
Trustees& Leadership team-agr¢¢ment was ￿Ven by all. We also held a
Fellowship and Church ukmlate meettng after our service on 14111121 for our
members and friends of ShiloFL this meeting was well supported. We held
several follow up planning meetings and decided to have our celebration
Annual Dinner& awards on the 512122.
Regular contributions of tithes from ￿MMItted members, and voluntary
offerings and donations are ￿Ven to the Church to enable the objectsves to be
carried oul via Standing order and Online bankn'ng.
Room hire for meets.ngs and social events in line with our policies and
procedures did not take place, due to Covid-19 Testrictions.
Liakson with Sandwell Council Voluntary OT8aDisation advisors to develop
the community business plan and gxve appropriate advice as necessary-online.
Support and liaison with other churches. community. public and private
organisation5 as a fellowship and networking aim, so we SUp￿rted Zoom
nferences. meetings and funerals virtually.
D.Grant attended Covid-19 weekly 0￿rational meetings for Faith leaders via
Zoom. wku'ch was Covordinated by Bimiingham City Council& Public Health.
This was to obtsin updated inforn￿tiOn and to share best practice. We were
grateful for her time and commitment wven.

ACHIEVEMEKfs AND PERFOR1￿NCEs
Charitable activitie3
The Church providcs weekly Sunday School teaching and Biblical instruction
sessions with emphasis on moral conduct for children aged 5 to 16 m appropriat¢ ag¢
group classes. and to create a safe environment ther¢by encouraging the youth to bc
good citizens in the community- this was achieved vla Zoom. and also at the Church
building after Places of Worslllp were O￿ned. All Teachers and key membeTS are
advised to adher¢ to the child protection policy. and io keep up to dat¢ with training
and knowledg¢ for safeguarding children. young people and vuln¢rablc adults.
Th¢ youth PTogramme LET'S HOPE from 2020 was continued in 2021 with the
same objectives. via Zoom from 2pmto 3pm for youth aged 5 to 13 during the
Covid-19 restrictions Step 3. Competitive activities included learning the New and
Old Testament. monthly attendaDC¢ awards, weekly Golden text& Quarterly
certificates of Gold, Silver& BroDZ¢. Parentslcarers were offered guidance and a
Forum vta What's App. to slwe any concerns on the proposed Q)vid-19 testsng of
children in Senior Schools. A face to face song rehearsal took pl￿¢ al the Church
premises on Saturday 2713121, which was record￿ in order to be shared in the
mwn Church Zoom Easter Monday service wlllch w&$ well applauded by all.
Sunday 28 March-Palm Sunday was the 50th Zoom Let's Hop¢ session. Face-
to-Face Sunday school for the youth started back on 2016121 and activiti¢s
included Familysunday. the study of Jos¢ph, the Frutt of the Spirit. and stories of
Jesus life. A Safeguarding letter w8s sent to Parents/Carers to sign and also a
questionnai￿ lo gauge new Youth activities.
Harv¢5t celebrations included creative activities with a banner. prayer and songs.
There was a plamled Saturday Treasure Trail around the Church area in West
Bromwi¢h, and then the youth returned to the Church to make their own desserts.
The youth Joined with another local Church-Living Hope UK Community ChoiT
which was an uplifting eveni for all. The youth took part in the Passover feasl
experience with real food& trimmings. and all children brougbt their own
cushions representing the comfort after being freed from slavery.
An alternative Hallow¢en with Pumpkn'n Patch representing Christ's S￿'nIng ligbt
in a dark world. The end of year party was on the 17112121 where over 20 children
attended with good food and fun. We thank th¢ Lord for the vision and
commitment of Dorcas Marshall and all thc team supportfftg her.

On the Monday we condueted our service via Zoom-12noon-2pm, hosted
by D. Marshall, co-ordinated by D. Grant. The Brotherhoo¢ tAdies and
Sunday school Department were aIlocated 15 minutes to elaborate on their
cbosen topic bas¢d on the theme. We were very inspired& ¢ncouraged by all
the presentations. Ow afternoon speaker was Delzie Reid who reminded us
that in every situation God is in Control so keep tn￿tIng in the Lord. This was
a very passionate& powerful encouragement.

from the many deaths due to Coronoviws and also for people who had to
make difficult decisions during this lockdown penod of the Pandemic.

cautious, & continued to wear face coverings and to use sanitizers. due to the
ongoing Pandemic and for safeguarding re&gons, so we r¢-organised the dates
and sessEons to adapt. W¢ h¢ld all our services at the Cburch builth'n& but
Takeaway m¢als were provided by our Caterer's-Roses' Aroma for everyone
who att¢nd¢& We were blessed by the attendance of our Pastor Blake and
saints from Sheffield on the Saturday evening. Pastor Blake was our speaker.
and gave us inspinng and encourdging words for our unprecedented times. We
continued oui service at the Church building on Sunday-25nni- and for the
first session Pastor Woodley gave an enwurdging& upltfting sernion. For the
second part of the service- Evan D.Granl moderated the Celebration of
unveiling the Plaque for the late Pastor F. William& We bad a committal of
the Plaque with pray¢r. and the unveiling by his wife Sonia Williams and
children-Chatane& Toram and othw family members were in attendance.

contributlODS from the Youtb. Brotherhood and Iadies department. We were
blessed by the fellowsEll'P of visiting Ministers- Pastor Smith, Minister Fac¢y
& Bishop Shirley with encouraging and upliftmg Words in th¢se uncertain
times.
Our Caterers-Roses' Aroma provided Takeaway tneals for all. We thank the
Lord for our Cateiers. Hospitslity team and for all out ￿em￿s& everyone
who supported our services.

ThanksgiviDg- we held our annual service at the Church buildin& as Step 4
Covid-19 restrictions were now lifted. We received many donations from
members and non-members. wTru'ch exceeded our preVio￿S contributions. Our
food boxes were thstributed to the local community-YMCA. OSCAR. Edward
St.Hospital. CAMHS Youth Centre. and Black County Women's Refuge.
Albion Court Nursing Home. Boxes wer¢ also given to our brethren and
Sunday School families. This ¢vent was Covordinated by D. Grant with support
from P. Laidley. w.mcLa￿n and Pastor Woodley. We took safeguarding
precautions to ensure thal eve1￿Ill.ng was Covid safe. We gave thanks to God
for the generosity of the members.
12110121- Sandwell Council Voluntsry Organisation (SCVO) AGM-10am-
12.30pm- Theme: Creating Positive Change-D.Grant attended tlll's event via
Zoom as a representative from Shiloh ChurclL as we are a member oftlll'5
organisation that has been very SUPFK)rtive to our Chwch in many areas.
The meeting was infOrn￿tiVe, productive and a great learning curve.

16110r21-Trustees and Finance Committee team building event-spm-this
was held at a local restauranl for encouragement & appreciation for these
voluntary members who have been de(hcated and committed to Churcb-
duties. a good evening was had by all.
6111121-7111121-Annual Brotherhood meeting-Theme: Jolus is Coming
Soon.- this event took place at the Church premises over 2 days. L. Francis
COwoidiDated the services in Praise and Worship Lo¢a] and National Churches
weTe invited to attend with supw)rt from PastOT Blake and the Church from
Sheffield. There was an mvited guest preacher-Bishop M. Brooks, who gave
Biblical instruction on the theme. Takeaway M￿lS were provided by
Roses'Aroma for all attendees- a very inspiring meeting.
1311 Ir21-Shiloh Community Centre Craft day-the initiative for this event
came from Jltne Francis. who provid￿ the craft business links
Dorcas Marshall cTrordinated the event wknch included an outside barbecue
and the selling of various cakes. This was a great day for the individual
business. but also a fun day of fellowship for those who pa1￿Clpated and
attended which was open to members. fn'ends and the general public.
2111 Ir21-Virtual Operation Christmas Cbild Shoebox-this event was
c￿ordinated by D.Marshall with P.Laidley and D.Williams. assisting the
Sunday School children to participate and ￿ r¢aIise the benefits of charitablc
giving. &8 £25 was donated for this ￿USe. We shall continu¢ to pray for the
Teachers and for the Parents who encourage the ¢kn'ldren to attend.
27111121-Pastorg1 meeting was held by the Pastor with D. Grant and
V. Welsh. via phonelin¢ conference call from 10am to 10.45am hosted by
D.Grant.Discussions were regarding the Chrisknas service, Church AGM. and
the planning for the Church Fellowship meal & Awards on the 512122.
4112r21-Firs¢ Saturday Pr8yer-members were invited to a Fasting and Prayer
meeting via phoneline conference call-10am-10.45am.The prayer session was
co￿rdinated by L.Deacoo hosted by D.Gtanc to pray for various request,
intercede for the sick, and a special prayer for young people.
17112lll-Sund8y Sebool End of Year Pgrty-this held in the Church
back hall. and was co-ordinated by D. Marshall and other members
participating& giving food and dn'nk donations. There was a good atten(lan¢e
of children playing games& having fun& good treats. We are 8fdteful to the
consisteni dedication of our Sunday School Teachers.
26112121-Christmas Sunday 8ervice- Was held at the Church buildmg with a
joyful and uplifting service. Pastor Woodley was presiding and encouraged the
Church to ￿ve thanks to God for his d￿'1Y grace and mercy during the
on going Pandemic.
31112121- End of Year Service via Zoom from 10pm until after midttight-
hosted by D. Marshall wtth Pastor Woodley presiding and D. Grant
tnoderating the service. Members gave their testimonies of thanksgiving to
God during a difficult and uncertain year. but graleful that the restrictlons are
lifted.D.Grant gave a review of the year and Pastor Woo(lley encouraged
¢veryone to let the peace of God rule in our hearts as G(Kl is in Control.
We all gave a prayer of Thanks￿VIng and w5hed ev¢ryone A Happy New
Year for 2022.
