## Committee’s Report to Members for the Year - 2022 (Hijri 1444) 

Anjuman-e-Isha’at-e-Islam means 'Organisation for the Propagation of Islam'. The Anjuman provides the Masjid facilities for the wider Muslim community to perform their Islamic obligations and a Madrasah to teach Islam to our young children to ensure we protect their Imaan for generations to come. 

## **President’s Report** 

Alhamdulillah throughout the last year the Masjid has been fully operational and all of the regular activities of the Masjid and Madrasah have been running as usual. 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Imams, Ustads, committee members, members, musallies and our women who often sacrifice much of their time in the background to ensure the activities, programs and projects are delivered and for ensuring the Masjid runs as effectively and efficiently as it does. 

May Allah SWT accept the efforts of all those involved and make all their efforts a means of forgiveness on the Day of Judgement, Ameen. 

## **Vision & Moving Forward** 

The challenges of the time and the threats to our deen and imaan especially for our future generations, means we cannot rest on our laurels. As a community we have to think about coming back to our founding mission ‘ **Anjuman-E-Isha’at-E-Islam’** which literally translates to Organisation for the Propagation of Islam. All of us as members of the Anjuman should be united behind this. 

The Anjuman and Masjid al Farouq should become a hub for the community where we: 

- Have a better provision of services and empowering our Youth to ensure our next generations are good upstanding practicing Muslims and upstanding members of the community. 

- Have a better provision of services for our sisters to create safe spaces for them to continue to remain steadfast and have a sense of community and belonging. 

- Provide services and places for our elders to meet in a social context. Many of our elders are stuck at home and suffer due to a lack of interaction with friends and other members of the community, impacting on their health and mental well-being. 

- Play a bigger role in helping to improve our local community by working in partnership with other stakeholders as well as the council and other non-governmental organisations
