Governing Document The CIO'S remit is Ihe runningof the Village Hallfor the benefit of residents in the village and surrounding area and to do so at prices which cover running costs and are affordable to all likely users.. Flnanclal Policy The charity operates three funds which operaie on an accruals and prepayments basis. Designated Fund held by way of investments as a reserve of approximately six months running costs Restricted Fund for grants income and expenditure General Fund forthe regular operation of the charity Public Benefit The charity continues to prowde the Village Hall as a benefit for local organisations and individuats. The trustees keepthe hire charges forcommunttygroups 8$ lowas possible so as not to restrict access. Athivities and Achlevements- Report of the Chair The Village Hall currently has 8 group of Trustees, Ch8irperson. and Treasurer. with secretarial roles beingshared amongthe Trustees. With the employment of0 paid staff: a caretaker and a cleaner. the Treasurer role has increased due tothe need to use the Government payroll system.
Overthe past year, the Village Hall website {findernvilt8gehall.org) has evolved to provide a comprehensive range ofinformation aboutthe hall. Itserves as a platformfor visitors to contact us an(J keepsthe community informed aboutevents and regular group activrties. We acknowledge that some attention is needed to refresh th8 Slte and ensure ali details are up-to-date and accurate. Thewami Space initiative has continued to be a success. attracting a greatturnout each week. This weeklyevent remains a valuable socialgatheringforthe community. offering refreshments and an opportunity for people to connect. We expect the Warm Space to remain a fixture forthe foreseeable future. CommLJnity Health use ofthe hall has increased greatly and now offers weekly both reflexology and pain relief management. A pre diabetic group also meets on a regular basis. there is self-referral on some groups with a no cost attendance. Criteria for referral is the responsibility of the local GP. Bookingsforthe hall have continuedto rise-theyearto September2024 sawa 32% riseto £16.924- and efforts have been madeto manage weekend and eveningbookings more effectivelyto accommodate growingdemand. The Glass Fusion Workshop events have been particutarty well-receNed, with strong attendance and repeated sessions. Thesetypes of low-cost, community-focused educational events are aligned with our hall's constitution, and we remain committed to offeringsuch opportunitiestothe community. In terms offaciiity improvements, we are pleased to repon that the Gents. toilets have recently been refurbished. and we are very happy with the results. Looking back at the 2024 Village Fete. we are proud to say it was a resounding success. ItW8s well-attended and enjoyed bythe residents of Findern and the surrounding villages. The event achieved its primary goal of raising tunds for the Village Hall- a net £2.057- and we appreciate the community's continued support. Planningfor the 2025 Fete has notyet commenced. butwe lookforward to itwhen thetime comes. We would like to express my gratitude to 8U Trustees and volunteers who continue to dedicate theirtime and efforts tothe success ofthe hall.
