## Chairman’s Report 2025

The first thing I have to mention is the sad passing of Richard Barford who was a long serving and respected member of the management committee and leader of the Scottish Dancing Group who are long standing users of the hall.

We welcome Eileen Stener, who has taken over as the representative of the group.

Last year we were at a crisis point with energy costs, but thanks to the guidance of our Honorary Treasurer and making adjustments to our hall charges the situation is now under control. We continue to monitor the situation.

Our CCTV system has been completely upgraded and our thanks go to Boxley Parish Council for their very generous grant that covered the costs.

We have started a wish list of jobs that require doing and work will start once we have prioritised.

The hall continues to be well used and again, many thanks to our long serving caretaker/booking secretary Pat Overland.

I thank all my fellow trustees and committee members for their time and commitment throughout the year with a special mention to Heather, out Honorary Secretary.

Vic Davies Chairman

Note. Our aims and objectives, plus the regulations governing the way we operate are laid out in our constitution available to be examined on the Charities Commission web site.
