## Grove Green Community Hall CIO Penhurst Close, Grove Green, Maidstone, Kent ME14 5TQ Reg charity No 1166200 ## Chairman’ Report 2022 After the upheaval of the last couple of years the hall is back to business as usual. My thanks to our caretaker, Pat Overland, for ensuring the hall was kept save for the duration and managing the return of our hirers. Pat was also very involved in obtaining quotes for and managing the installation of our new kitchen which looks fantastic. David Day, our long serving Hon Treasurer, has decided that the time is right to hand over this highly important role to a new person, and I am sure we all wish to show our appreciation and give thanks to David for his commitment and work over the years. Following on from that, I welcome our new Hon Treasurer, James Quinn, and thank him for kindly taking over this role. James has already made changes to the way we deal with our finances, most significantly by signing up for internet banking and by producing monthly reports. We have returned to holding face to face meetings and I thank Trustees and committee members for their time and input in attending these meetings. It is a very important part of how we do business to keep the hall in a good state of repair and functioning. Another person who carries out a very important role is our Hon Secretary, Heather Cameron, many thanks to her. I started by mentioning our caretaker, but Pat is also booking secretary, and this role is vital for keeping the hall in full use and making sure revenues keep coming in.
