Chairman’s report 2021
Like most halls, Grove Green Hall has been closed since the start of the pandemic, except in our case, we have been able to accommodate the nursery group for four days a week since the end of the first lockdown.
Our financial resources have not been stretched because we have been receiving the full Government covid grants.
We have kept the hall covid safe with regular cleaning, implementing covid restrictions and rules and displaying the required covid signage.
The Trustees have now started to have face to face meetings but have mainly kept in touch by email. There have not been any major problems or repairs to do but we have had a complete legionella inspection carried out and completed the required works highlighted by the report.
We are now starting to welcome back some of our regular hirers and hopefully will be fully functional in the near future.

Key monies are deposits of £5 received from regular hirers holding a key to the hall, repayable upon return of the key.
No allowance is made for depreciation.
The reserve funds shown in the Balance Sheet will be held to cover any future improvements to the hall.

Notes:
This has been another year of strange challenges with little use of the hall except for Fledgelings in line with Government regulations.
Maintenance of the premises carried out with costs reflecting this. However, a lifeline has been forthcoming in the grants received from Maidstone Borough Council thanks to the Chairman who made many successful applications.
With this in mind and matters seeming to be on the up the hall still remains financially stable looking forward to the next 12 months
