Romania. We do this by providing funding
towards staffing for direct interventions to

and through advising and supporting staff.
The staff team consists of a nurse who
leads the project, a project co-ordinator,
social worker, physiotherapist and
psychologist.
Throughout the year we have directly
provided medical and therapeutic supplies
and have supported a range of educational
activities.
This year we have also continued
supporting individuals in the community
who are at risk of institutionalisation, to
keep them living with their families.
This year we have been successful in

The team have also offered support and advice to care staff within the Government institutions and families in the community. |Summary of the main

Additional resources have included
beanbags, sensory toys and a sensory
station, to engage all beneficiaries to

A number of community visits have been
facilitated this year, including celebrating
Ceizini day, cinema, museum and a
shopping trip. For the majority of
beneficiaries, it was the first time they had
enjoyed these experiences. These
activities not only teach day to day living
skills but also reduce stigma, as
beneficiaries are able to engage with
members of the general public, who may
not come into contact with disabled people
often. To further improve day to day living
skill, we have continued to offer the Life
Skills project in the adult institution.
The April trip was focused on feeding and
was undertaken by a Speech and
Language therapist.
