**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

The object of the Society shall be to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by such ways as the society through its committee shall determine from time to time. 

Giving of three concerts a year following a full programme of rehearsals of the orchestra. Putting on a play day where anyone can come and play their orchestral instrument. Supporting other local musical societies by providing orchestral players for their concerts.

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Due to the Covid crisis, the orchestra did not rehearse between September 2020 and May 2021. Rehearsals resumed in May 2021 with safeguarding measures in place following Government guidelines. The intention was to resume a normal pattern of rehearsals and concerts from September 2021.
