TOPICS TO DELIBERATE ON

Position of church service during cov 19 pandemic

The church had smooth services in the year until March 2020, when the country was locked down by the government due to cov 19 pandemic, the church complied to rules and regulations as a result the church services were closed, but the church kept regular communication with its members through zoom contact and we are grateful that till now none of our members contracted the pandemic as some of the members worked tirelessly on the front line, (NHS nurses and carers) so far the church has resumed its services at the venue with only 15 members allowed in a service adhering to social distancing. Members are making turns giving opportunity to one another in attending a service.

The church services have stopped again due to the pandemic,as a result we are only having prayers on zoom and we do not know when we shall be allowed to resume. The church has kept regular checks to its members by telephone, as a follow up to their health. Also members have been encouraged to keep regular testing at the designed centres.

So far there has been no report of any infection of the corona virus to all the members.

Membership

The Pastor indicated that the church has managed to return it’s all members with new members also attending services on zoom

Instruments used at church.

It was suggested that new public address speakers need to be changed as the speakers that we have, have been repaired more than twice and they do not give us the expected sound during services. Miss Sindisiwe informed the meeting that we can get the speakers at music shop (passive speakers) at a range of £250 pounds each. And two church members volunteered to buy the speaker for the church.

Church rental

Sindisiwe indicated that the church contributions for our rental is moving smoothly and our rent is paid up to date, and we are hoping all the members of the church shall keep the same spirit to our contributions as it is the interest of everyone to preserve and keep our place of worship.

Closing contributions

The meeting acknowledged that it is important all members should practise social distancing and avoid unnecessary travel during this time of pandemic.

It was also agreed that praise and worship rehearsals shall not take place until we are advised of the total improvement of the pandemic.
