**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: (1) THE PROMOTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH OR THE SAVING OF LIVES BY WAY OF IMPROVING THE CARE OF PATIENTS WITH THORACIC MALIGNANCIES THROUGH MULTIDISCIPLINARY EDUCATION AND CLINICAL AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC; (2) TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO LUNG CANCER AND MESOTHELIOMA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY FACILITATION OF EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION ON THORACIC ONCOLOGY INCLUDING DISSEMINATING RESULTS OF RESEARCH AND OTHER NEWS RELATED TO LUNG CANCER AND MESOTHELIOMA;(3) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITY CONSISTENT WITH THE OBJECTS ABOVE AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION DETERMINE.

**Activities:** To support and educate thoracic oncology healthcare professionals, creating a professional community to exchange ideas, information and innovation and to foster the development of research.  The overall aim is to represent the needs of people with thoracic malignancies in the UK and ensure they have equitable access to optimal care.
