Education First Trustees Report for the year end 31 December 2024 Trustees, Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 December 2024 The trustees of Education First {registered charity number 11660071 present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024. In 2024, the charity built significantly upon the foundation laid in previous years, expanding the scope and impact of its online training programmes. Our ongoing commitment to supporting diaspora education continued with the successful delivery of a second season of our comprehensive teacher training programme. This year, we broadened our reach by launching two new flagship initiatives, deliveri ng three distinct training progra mmes to critica I grou ps: A high-level training for non-profit organisations, delivered from 27 to 31 July 2024. The second season of our teacher training, which took place from 2 to 5 September 2024. A specialised training for school administrators and management teams, runningfrom 5 October to 2 November 2024. Each of these core programmes represented a substantial commitment, with each course comprising approximately 20 hours of training. Operational activities were conducted efficiently with minimal cost5, which continued to be facilitated through our valued partnerships and individual membership fees. As such, there were no recorded income, expenditure, assets, or liabilities for this period. The trustees are enthusiastic about the continued growth of our training offerings and remain dedicated to planning further initiatives that align with the charity's objectives.
Charity Objectives The objects of the charity are:_ (l) The prevention or relief of poverty in and for beneficiaries from the Horn of Africa in particular and East Africa in general by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty. {21 For the public benefit to promote the education (including social and physical training) of people in and from the Horn of Africa in particular and East Africa in general in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by'.- lal Awarding to such persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education.
