Trustees Report for the year end 31 December 2023
Trustees, Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 December 2023
The trustees of Education First (registered charity number 11660071 present their
annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023.
Building on the success of the 2022 series'upbringing Children in Diaspora:
Challenges and Practical Solutions,, the charity's key achievement for 2023 was
the implementation of one of its core recommendations: providing direct support
to teachers in diaspora communities.
This culminated in the delivery of a comprehensive, 20-hourtraining programme
for teachers at community schools in Egypt, which was conducted online over five
days. The training was launched in direct response to high demand and addressed
urgent educational needs within the community.
Operational costs for the year were minimal and were covered through
partnerships and individual membership fees. Consequently, there were no
recorded income, expenditure, assets, or liabilities for this period. The trustees
remain focused on planning future educational and community initiatives in line
with the charity's core objectives.
