Introductons
Wayne introduced new members . Also explained Arthur our longest member had been awarded his service award 33 yrs. We would like to thank Arthur for all his support .
The station has also celebrated 40 yrs with an interview with our illustrious leader Wayne on ITV Wales . Would also like to thank all who took part in the celebrations. Here is to the next 40 yrs,
Finances
Wayne updated- balance in account £300 this is mainly due to lack of fundraising opportunities during Covid.
Application to National lottery fund unsuccessful.
Fundraising
Luke raised £100 doing the Brit band of the Year scratch card where bands are picked and the winner receives £100. Draw was held on line winner was Claire David. As it was a great success all agreed to do another one next month.
All members have been encouraged to sign up for easyfundraising.
Wayne has written to the HBA to see if they can help with a grant.
Jim Borland has been in contact with Jacksons cabs who have expressed an interest in sponsoring a programme for a possible 12 months.
Owain agreed to contact Lee Jukes to discuss if he could help with fundraising.
Training
Problems in the past with training as many have work commitments.
Aim is to try and speed up training in future.
Trustees
Luke who has been an excellent trustee raising funds from amongst other things his marathon broadcasts ,keeping the station tech going , training will be stepping down as a trustee as he is studying to become a nurse. We would like to express our thanks for all his hard work which has been greatly appreciated by all. Luke will still be an active member of the radio.
Consequently a new trustee position is vacant.
Anyone who would like to express an interest should contact Wayne.
Details of the duties and responsibilities have been made available . Current trustees would like a person who will actively be involved in fund raising.
