We are a volunteer led Hospital radio station broadcasting via internet and apps . Our broadcasts are now accessible to all visitors and staff at The Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend where we are based. Also providing access is the surrounding area allowing anyone to make requests for patients ,staff etc without having to come to the hospital
This year our trustee Luke Phillips has started a trainee programme which is proving to be very successful and hope to now be able to recruit more volunteers in the future. We now have 12 volunteers who are presenting their own shows.
We also broadcast information promoting campaigns relating to the hospital/Health and recently broadcast information regarding Covid 19 during the Pandemic. We will continue to broadcast health and well being information.
We held our AGM in May 2022 where the incumbent Trustees were voted in along with Connor Morgans who we welcomed as a new member. Trustees and all volunteers and not paid.
We held a fundraising evening and raised £300. We will continue to find ways to raise funds for ongoing running costs. This year we have used funds to pay for internet access, Broadcast licenses and insurance.
