## **Section B – Structure, Governance and Management**

Optional Information

All trustees are responsible for decision making on the grant giving process. If any of the trustees knows anyone who applies, then that trustee must abstain from the decision-making process to allow a fair and true decision.

We have a more merchandise made in a bid to make more money and also to increase the charities branding so people are more aware of us.

Our aim is to reach as many people as possible with the charity and to get the name out there into the public domain.

If we wanted to appoint a new trustee, I discuss the candidate with the existing trustees to see if there are any objections. I would then approach the person and ask them if they would be a trustee. We then would hold a meeting with all the trustees including the new appointment.

## **Section C – Objectives and Activities**

The objective of the charity is the relief of the financial hardship among people suffering from cancer through the provision of grants.

We have registered with Wonderful Payments as they only take 10p per transaction for general donations. We still have PayPal options on the charity website to restrict the risk of fraud by giving the bank details out.

## **Section D – Achievements and Performance**

The charity ball and other events we had planned were cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We asked those who wanted to still take part in the Valley to Coast Walk to do it over the month of August instead. We raised £1395.

We have yet to submit our gift aid claim.

Due to pandemic we didn’t help many people, but we gave out in grants £11,457. The pandemic definitely hindered how many people we helped because hospital appointments and treatment were largely stopped/cancelled. We did see a small rise in applications once lockdown was lifting but not as much as we thought.

## **Section E – Financial Review**

We need a certain amount of money in the bank to put events on. We are hoping in 2021 we can put some events on but at the moment things are still uncertain.

I would like to see us have 1 year’s worth of running costs plus 1 year for up and coming events.
