The trustees present their report and accounts for the year ended 25 November 2021.
The Annual Report is fully SORP compliant and sets out how the trustees have met their obligations.
The Financial Statement is fully SORP compliant and includes the incoming resources and resources expended.
Objectives and activities
The relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually, the prevention or relief of poverty anywhere in the world for the Public Benefit by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support design to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self- sufficient.

In setting our objectives and planning our activities our Trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit.
Achievements and performance
The Charity carries out a wide range of activities in pursuance of its charitable aims:
The work of charities is a constant challenge. Back-to-back natural disasters and the ever-increasing mass displacement of people provide a constant reminder of how much the quality of humanity is needed. This year we have, through the generosity of our donors, been able to reach many thousands of individuals desperately in need of food, hygiene, shelter, medicine and empowerment. We have been successful in providing clean water in the Sindh area of Pakistan, Ghana, Uganda by way of installing water pumps, water wells. Thousands of families have benefitted from our food packs distribution, providing food, hot meals. Our Rozgar project has benefited individuals to generate sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
Structure, governance and management
The Charity is regulated by constitution dated February 2017. The Charity is run wholly on a voluntarily basis.
Appointment of charity trustees
Every trustee must be appointed by a resolution past at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as charity trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the CIO.

Financial review and reserves policy
Funds available are sufficient to permit the charity to continue in operation in the medium to long term, together with the continued support from the donors.
Our aim is to distribute funds as soon as possible in line with the objectives of the charity. There are no uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concern.
The Trustees actively review all major risks which the Charity faces and drawn up a risk assessment which is reviewed at every meeting. The Trustees are satisfied that all systems are in place and arrangement have been made to manage any risks identified.
The Trustees would like to thank all those who assisted us with their moral and financial support and trust they continue to do so.
Statement of Trustee’s responsibilities
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and Financial Statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
The law applicable in England and Wales requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitable company and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure of the charitable company for that period in preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to:-

Select suitable accounting policies to be applied consistently

Observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP

Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent

State whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements and,

Prepare the financial statements on the going concern bases unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charitable company will continue in operation.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the charity and financial information included on the charity’s website in accordance with legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of the financial statements.

AL-FAIZAAN INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
We report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 25 November 2021.
Respective Responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
We report in respect of my examination of the Al-Faizaan’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
The charity’s gross income exceeded £250,000 and we are qualified to undertake the examination by being a qualified member accountant of one of the prescribed bodies.
We have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
• the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
We have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1 Statutory information
AL-FAIZAAN is a charity with the number 1165931. The registered office is Suite 17B, Bridgewater House, Surrey Road, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7TZ.
2 Compliance with accounting standards
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective from 01 January 2019) – (Charities SORP (FRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities Act 2011.
3 Accounting policies
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
Presentation currency
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
4 Average number of employees/Trustee remuneration
During the year the average number of employees was 0 (2020: 0).
No trustees, nor any persons connected with them have received any remunerations from the charity during the year. No trustees have received any reimbursed expenses or any other benefits from the charity during the year.
