The Trustees present their annual report together with thefinancial statements of Chiswell
Green U3AI'CGU3A'lfor theyear ended 31 March 2022
CGU3A isa UK Charity, with the reglstered number 1165924.
Structure, Govemance and Management
A-constltutlon
The Charity is an unincorporated members, association and a member of theThird 4qe Trust.
It wa5formed on 61312014 and the inaugural meeting was held on 314/2014. Regular monthly
meetingsstarted on 1/512014. The main bank account was opened on 31412014 from which date,
membership fee5 were accepted.
Underthe constitution, all officersand non-officers must retire at theAnnual General
Meeting and may be re-elected asspecified in the Constitution.
Each trustee has been told of their responsibilities and legal liabilities.
The Commlttee of Trustees holds monthly meetings to manage the operation of
thecharity and oversees the running of all its Interest Groups run by members.
The Charity operateswithin the confines of its national body, theThird Age Trust.
Monthly aSSes￿MentS are made of the financial and operational positions and clear
instructions are given to relevant parties on thefinancial and risk management of
Interest Groups and CGU3Aactivities.

The management of the Charity isthe responsibility oftheTrustees who areelected or
Co-opt￿1 under theterms of the Constitution.

Monthly meetings are held for the entlre membership at which invited gue#s
deliver talkson topical and educational subjects of interest.
The Charity operates over 50 Interest Groups coverlngsuch activitiesas
needlecraft, languages, history, tai chi, singing, zumba gold etc.
The continuous development of the Charity'swebsite to promote Its artivitiesand
to provideaccessto monthly news information and Interest Group activitie5.
Growing the Charity's membership numbersto over450 within 5 years and it5
continual expansion.
In carrylng out these activities where possible, theTrustee5 have had full regard to theguidance Issued bv
the Government, the Charitiescommission and that of theThird AgeTrust.
The entire operation of CGU3A relies upon the dedicated contributions made by members
acting wholly on a voluntary basis.

TheTrustees have a reasonableexpectation that the Charity has adequate resources to
continue in operational existencefor theforeseeablefijture. Accordingly, the going contern
basis has been adopted tn preparin8 these financial statement5.

residents of the Chiswell Green, Park Street, Bricket Wood and nearbyvicinity.
