Developing funding strategy, to bo able to maintain the sustainability of the organization. 2. Empowering disadvantaged people, by getting them involved in all activities, events, meetings or other issues affecting their communities. 3. Providing Sehri and Iftar to orphan children during the rnonth of Ramadan 4. Collecting and distributing food to impoverished families across the UK 5. Increasing partnership work with service providers across Greater Manchester. Our artivities We have continued to consolidate our structure5 focusing on the development of informal learning, cultural and religious projects, as well as social cohesion. Educational artivities included this year: reoching the Qurt7n Hadith to Muslim children and adults.. a new course funded by the members, aiming to provide a course that promotes the Muslim religion. Through this course, women and children learn how to develop their reading, speakin& and writing skills, contributing to their educational development, and presenting potential for their future. ESOL C10s5es.' the center offers ESOL courses up to level l. A5 classes are opened to all, this gives the opportunity to those who cannot access existing ESOL provision5 to register with our project. Community Afterschool club: We provided a weekly after school club in our prernises to help children with their Homework. Employment initlatives included this year: Volunteering opportunities (referred via CVS and self-referrall.

Our volunteering scheme demonstrated its importance through the excellent and helpful services provided by a dedicated team of volunteers. Open Arms's Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees Annual Report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (Ursited Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice}. The law applicable to charities in England and Wales require5 the Trustees to prepare acLounts for each f inancial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these accounts, the Trustees are required to: select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; observe the method5 and principles in the Charities SORP. make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent- state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departure5 disclosed and explained in the accounts. Prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the f inancial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act 1993 and the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008. The Trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
