Trustees’ Annual Report
Forde Abbey Carriage Driving RDA is a group of around 20 volunteers and people of all ages and disabilities who to come to drive our ponies in the beautiful grounds of Forde Abbey.
During 2022/2023 we re-established ourselves following the very difficult Covid restrictions in the previous year. These restrictions on our activities had meant we could not offer driving, and fundraising was almost impossible.
Being back to relatively normal levels of activity this year meant fundraising activities were possible. We had a successful soup lunch event and an entertaining Call my Bluff evening which were very. These added significantly to funds, as did resuming our bi-monthly driving sessions at the Abbey.
We were down to two ponies, provided free of charge by members so are keen to acquire an additional pony. The search was ongoing at the year end.
