TRUSTEES’ REPORT (INCLUDING DIRECTORS’ REPORT) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 JULY 2025

Achievements and activities:

MAECymru continues to further its objectives by continuing to meet and plan on-line. During the year we have held a monthly provincial zoom meeting for members. MAECymru maintains financial controls and accounting procedures which meet the requirements of the Charities Commission and HMRC (for tax purposes). MAECymru continues to try to build its membership base and seeks to support diocesan groups and networks to further its aims. The trustees meet regularly in furtherance of the objects of the Charity We have been in touch with one another as a network and source of encouragement. We are continuing to re-shape our networks so that we can be more agile and effective and communicate better on social and digital media. We are aware of many challenges related to gender and equality within and beyond our church communities. We want to become better at engaging with structures which can enable greater and more joyful participation in church and society.

The Trustees’ Report and other reports were presented, the constitution was reviewed, and trustees elected at an annual meeting of members in November.

Financial review:

During the year all income from membership subscriptions and donations was held to be spent on the activities for which they were given. Costs were incurred for registration of the website and to purchase an annual zoom licence to facilitate virtual meetings.

The present level of funding is adequate to support the continued operations of the charity for the medium term and the trustees consider the financial position of the charity to be satisfactory.

The trustees are content that income generated in the following year will enable MAECymru to continue its objectives.

The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.
