## **Organisational Structure** 

Raising Foundations is a **Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)** registered on **1 March 2016** with the Charity Commission and recognised by **HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)** for the purposes of **Gift Aid** and tax relief. The charity is governed by its **Trustees** , who manage the affairs of the CIO and exercise all the powers of the organisation. Trustees do not receive remuneration for their services. 

## **Trustee Appointment** 

During the financial period, **Lawrence Okiror** was appointed as a trustee on **24 June 2024.** 

## **Partnerships and Collaborations** 

Raising Foundations partners with local and international churches and evangelistic ministries to deliver evangelism, leadership training, compassion projects and preaching the Word of God, while strengthening the Body of Christ through discipleship, teaching and ministry outreach. 

During this reporting period we collaborated with **churches and evangelistic organisations** in the **UK, USA, Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho** to advance our charitable objectives. Key ministry partnerships included: 

- _Life Nations (USA)_ – A ministry led by evangelist **Antonio Gonzales** working towards the vision of reaching “ _2.2 million souls for Christ in 10 years”_ . 

- Hope Church (UK) – Partnered with Raising Foundations for joint outreach events.  _Operation Hope (Wales)_ – A ministry led by **Stephen Pilkington** , with a vision to reach “ _millions of souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, transforming communities through evangelism_ ”. 

- CFAN Evangelism Alliance – A network of evangelists within the **Christ for all Nations (CFAN) family** , working together to advance the Gospel. 

- Makepeace Ministries (UK) – Supported Evangelist **Trudy Makepeace** (ordained Elim minister) in her Zambia Gospel campaign, conducted in partnership with _Jesus Loves You Evangelistic Ministries (USA)_ .

The charity’s objectives, as set out in its constitution, are: 

1. To **promote sustainable development** in the UK and overseas for the benefit of the public by: 

      - a. **the relief of poverty** and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities; and 

      - b. the promotion of sustainable means of achieving **economic growth and regeneration** .

## **Summary of the Main Activities Undertaken for the Public Benefit** 

The Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance defines 4 principal divisions: “ _Relief of poverty, Advancement of education, Advancement of religion and Other purposes beneficial to the community”_ . 

In setting objectives and planning activities, the trustees have given due consideration to this guidance, particularly in relation to the **advancement of religion and the relief of poverty** . This is reflected in our **Vision, Mission and Approach** as we actively work to: 

- **Advance the Gospel** through evangelism, discipleship and strengthening the Church. 

- **Provide practical humanitarian aid** to orphans, prisoners and disadvantaged communities. 

- **Equip and train believers** for evangelism, missions and church leadership. 

- **Distribute Christian resources** to support spiritual growth and discipleship efforts worldwide. 

Through these activities, we achieve our charitable objectives for the public benefit. A summary of key achievements during the reporting period is provided in _Section D: Achievements and Performance_ .

## **Achievements and Performance for the Public Benefit** 

During the reporting period, Raising Foundations fulfilled its charitable objectives— **particularly the advancement of religion and the relief of poverty** —through a range of impactful activities across the UK, Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho. 

— These efforts, delivered through our _FOUR Core Ministry Pillars_ **Evangelism, Discipleship, Leadership Development and Compassion** —strengthened churches, supported communities and brought the message of Christ to thousands, with outcomes summarised as follows: 

## **Pillar 1: Evangelism & Outreach** 

_Proclaiming the Gospel worldwide and reaching communities with the message of Jesus Christ._ 

Raising Foundations conducted **145 ministry engagements** across **Kenya, Uganda, Lesotho and the UK** —reaching **over 65,000 people with the Gospel** , resulting in _43,893 recorded decisions for Christ_ and **64,796 discipleship books** distributed to support new believers and outreach efforts. 

These included open-air Gospel events, youth outreaches, Gospel Truck, Tent and prison ministry, pastors' and revival conferences, church preaching, personal evangelism and evangelism training. The impact of these campaigns was further extended through humanitarian aid to orphans and disadvantaged communities, Gospel radio broadcasts and partnerships with local churches for follow-up and discipleship. 

Here are the highlights by Country: 

**KENYA RF MISSION – Kakamega (28 Jul - 9 Aug 2023)** 

A team of **9 international evangelists** , **missionaries and a musician** from Rwanda, UK and Germany, together with local churches, conducted **67 ministry engagements—** reaching **nearly 31,000 people** with the Gospel and resulting in 20,528 recorded decisions for Jesus. During the campaign, **29,256 discipleship books** were distributed and the Gospel was also **broadcasted on radio** , further extending outreach. 


The Campaign included: 

- **50 Youth, Gospel Truck** , **open-air Gospel events** and **Gospel radio broadcasts** extending outreach beyond in-person events. 

- **2 Prison Gospel events** , with 60 prisoners baptised; We also donated soap, women's hygiene products and other essentials to inmates. 

- **3-day Fire Conference** and **11 church preaching engagements** to strengthen local churches in Kakamega, Busia and surroundings. 

- **2-day Pastors' Conference** for 50 church leaders, with meals provided 

- **1 Orphanage** visited, providing stationery, clothes, 10 mattresses and 2 laptops. 

- **29,256 discipleship books** distributed to new believers and youth attendees.

**UGANDA FIRECAMP & FIREWAVE – Mbale (4-22 April 2024)** 

Two Raising Foundations evangelists took part in **CFAN’s Firecamp & Firewave in Mbale, Uganda** —one serving on the leadership team **training 108 evangelists for ministry** , both leading outreach in surrounding towns and villages. Together, we held **45 Gospel events,** reaching **24,698 people** with 17,087 decisions for Christ and distributed **24,346 discipleship books** to equip new believers and youth attendees. 

The Campaign included: 

- **CFAN Firecamp:** Trained **108 local evangelists** in evangelism and discipleship. 

- **16 Gospel outreach events** in markets, streets and open-air locations. 

- **29 youth Gospel events** impacting young people with the Gospel. 

- **24,346 discipleship books** distributed. 









## **LESOTHO GOSPEL CAMPAIGN (9-18 February 2024)** 

In Lesotho, one of world’s poorest nations—a third of the population living below the poverty line— **4 evangelists** from the UK, South Africa and Lesotho partnered with local churches for **30 ministry engagements** , reaching **9,400+ people** and recording **6,264 decisions for Christ** . Outreach was extended through Gospel radio broadcast and **11,180 discipleship books** were distributed. 

The Campaign included: 

- **22 youth events, 1 tent gathering** , **2 pop-ups outreaches** and **Gospel radio broadcast** extending the campaigns reach. 

- **Pastors' Conference** for 50 church leaders, with meals provided and **3 church preaching engagements** to strengthen the church. 

- **11,180 discipleship books** distributed to new believers and youth attendees. 

- **15,000 "What Next" discipleship books** translated into **Sesotho** for primary school-aged children (with reserves for future use). 

- Donated **a suitcase of women's clothing** to those in need. 

- Purchased **2 portable sound speakers, microphones** and **stands** , now available for our partnering evangelists ministering in Lesotho & South Africa.

**UK GOSPEL EVENTS & NETWORKING (December 2023 – March 2024)** 

Raising Foundations partnered with churches and evangelists in the UK to share the Gospel and strengthen networks for evangelism, reaching **270+ attendees** and leading to 14 decisions for Christ. 

The UK events Included: 

- **Downham Christmas Carols** (Dec ‘23): 80 attendees, **7 decisions for Christ** each receiving follow-up material. 

- **Hope Church Orpington Easter Service** (Mar ’24): 150 attendees, **7 decisions for Christ** and 7 follow-up discipleship packs distributed. 

- **Evangelism Networking Breakfast** (3 Feb ‘24): **40 attendees (6 pastors)** + online guests from **UK, Peru, Nepal & Pakistan** . Survey showed strong interest in deeper engagement and longer sessions, affirming **UK's growing appetite for evangelism** . 






**Pillar 2: Church Ministry (Discipleship)** _Strengthening the Body of Christ and helping believers grow in faith._ 

Alongside evangelism, Raising Foundations promotes **discipleship and spiritual growth** by preaching in churches, hosting revival conferences, distributing resources and connecting believers to local churches—strengthening congregations to nurture new believers beyond the initial Gospel encounter. We involve churches in our campaigns to enable follow-up through visits, calls, invitations and baptisms that connect new believers to the body of Christ. Key Activities & Impact: 

- **14 Church preaching engagements** across Kenya & Lesotho to support the ongoing work of evangelism and discipleship. 

- **3-day Fire Revival Conference in Kenya** , strengthening believers and reigniting passion for the Gospel. 

- **64,796 discipleship books distributed** across **Kenya, Uganda, UK and Lesotho** to support foundational teaching. 


- **15,000 "What Next" discipleship books** translated into **Sesotho** for **primary school-aged children** in Lesotho. 





**Pillar 3: Train, Equip & Mobilise (Leadership Development)** _Equipping church leaders, evangelists and missionaries to lead, disciple and evangelise effectively._ 

Raising Foundations is committed to strengthening the Body of Christ by **training and equipping leaders, evangelists and missionaries** . We provide spiritual and practical resources to enhance ministry impact, support follow-up, equip outreach teams with materials and equipment and resource evangelists to engage in global Gospel initiatives and ongoing outreach. 


Key Activities & Impact: 

- **2 pastors' conferences** in Kenya & Lesotho, equipping ~ **100 church pastors & leaders** with biblical training, leadership and discipleship strategies. 

- **108 Evangelists trained** at CFAN Uganda Firecamp in public proclamation, one-to-one evangelism and youth outreach. 

- **Evangelism Networking Breakfast (UK):** 40 attendees (6 pastors) & online participants from 4 countries, fostering collaboration and momentum for UK evangelism.

- **Evangelism Equipment:** supplied 2 portable sound systems, microphones, stands & **23,510 discipleship books** for evangelists to continue Gospel outreach in Lesotho and South Africa. 

- **Resources & Follow-up:** Equipped teams and volunteers with materials and Decision Cards to record responses and connect new believers to churches. 

- **Evangelist Support** : Helped raise £2,490 for Makepeace Ministries for a Zambia Gospel campaign with Jesus Loves You Ministries (USA), resulting in 205,000+ decisions for Christ. 








**Pillar 4: Compassion & Community Initiatives** 

_Demonstrating Christ’s love through practical support to vulnerable communities._ 

Raising Foundations demonstrates the love of Christ through practical acts of compassion, **serving orphans, prisoners and disadvantaged communities** . These efforts, delivered in partnership with donors and local churches, meet physical needs and reflect the heart of the Gospel in action. 


Key Activities & Impact: 

- **Prison Ministry:** Gospel outreach in 2 prisons with 60 baptisms and included donations of soap, women's hygiene products and essentials. 

- **Orphan & Community Support:** Visited an orphanage in Kenya and provided stationery, clothes, 10 mattresses and 2 laptops to support children and caregivers. 

- **Additional Support in Lesotho:** Donated women’s clothing and equipped evangelists with sound systems and discipleship materials for ongoing outreach.

Through our four ministry pillars— **Evangelism & Outreach** , **Discipleship** , **Leadership Development** and **Compassion** —Raising Foundations has impacted lives across multiple nations. By proclaiming the Gospel, equipping believers, supporting churches and showing Christ’s love in action, we continue to fulfil our charitable purpose and serve the public benefit. ## **RAISING FOUNDATIONS** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Raising Foundations ('the charity') for the year ended 30 June 2024 on pages 12 to 13 following. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the 2011 Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; or 

2. the accounts do not accord with the accounting records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
