RAN is a membership organization which supports other charities providing information, advice and advocacy in Reading. It works to improve the quality of these services, make it easier for people to get the services they need, and aims to be a focal point for these services. In particular it sets, maintains and supports organisations to achieve its Quality Standard and runs regular Advice Forums.

Objects: The Objects Of The Reading Advice Network Are To Promote Any Charitable Purpose For The Benefit Of The Public In The Greater Reading Area And In Particular By The Advancement Of Education, The Advancement Of Health And The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty By:1. Improving The Quality Of Information And Advice And Advocacy Support That Is Available To People In Reading2. Making IT Easier For People In Reading To Get The Information And Advice And Advocacy Support They Need 3. Becoming A Focal Point For Information And Advice And Advocacy Support Services In Reading
