1. To hold a D of E licence to enable the charity to support young people to complete their D of E awards, both directly and indirectly via other selfgoverning organisations using the charity’s licence.

2. To maintain a hardship fund to enable young people within the Oxfordshire area to complete their D of E award where financial constraints may have been a barrier.

3. To maintain a store of expedition equipment for young people to use on their DofE expeditions.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

Unsurprisingly there is very little to report because of the impact of the COVID19 pandemic. All face to face meetings were suspended during the year and we had very few new enrolments via the virtual centre (1 bronze, 1 silver & 9 golds) or completions (4 silvers & 3 golds). All of the scheduled leader training had to be cancelled and no use was made of the expedition equipment store. There was no use of the hardship funds either. I suspect that the report for the year to 5[th] April 2022 will be similar. During the year the charity continued to honour its financial commitments with respect to insurance, DofE licences and rental for the equipment store as detailed in the treasurer’s report. We continue to help DofE participants via a virtual service, hoping to resume face to face meetings and expeditions in the near future.

**Details of any funds materially in deficit**
