The trustees have prepad th8 ac£ounts on a recèipts and payments basis. Prlnclpal Activllles and Objectfves The Boume Foundation supports students of The Bourne Academy with enri¢hm8nt activities to enhance their education and provide access to opp)rtunities that might not otherwise be possible. The Foundation supports the Academy with projects that a not funded through government sources. Maln actlvltles undertaken to further the charlty's purpose for the publi¢ benefit The year end 31 August 2025 has been another sucsSJ1 year for the Foundath)n. and it has been able to Contin to supFM)rt The Academy with a range of projeds. Income, totaling £36,155 {2024 - £27,155). has been raised through grants and donations, with the following grants obtained= £10,000 from Alice Ccwer D8an Foundation, £3.500 from BCP Council. £2,600 from the Hedley Foundation and £1.170 from 7 Stars towards the work the Acad8my carries out wilh Young Carers. £7,500 from the Valentine Trus( £5,000 from the Bally Thomas Charitable Fund and £3.656 from the Friends of Canford S¢hwl to supwt th8 setting up and wnning of a new sensory room. £1,125 from Groundwofk UK (via Tesco) as an initial 75% of a grant towards the Breakfast Club run by the Academy fcy disadvantaged students. The remainder of income was raised through small donations and various events held at The Boume Academy durlng the year. Grants totaling £17.451 (2024 - £35.0(Ki) have been made to The Boume Academy during the year as follows: £11,156 towards the Set up and running costs of the Sensory room within th8 Academy's new Link building. £4,670 to support trips and activities for the Academy's Young Carers £1.125 to support the costs of the Academy's breakfast dub £500 to purchase a new iPad for the Academy's Perfom)ing Arts department. At 31 August 2025 the Foundation had reserves of £23,228 {2024- £4,524). £17,600 of the resetV8S are restricted funds. all ofwhich will be paid over to The Bourne Acadèmy to be spent in acccKdan with the funding provisffis. The remaining £5,628 of r8seNes are unrestricted funds {2024 - all funds were unrestricted}. The Foundatson has a reserve policy to keep a level of £5.000 of unrestricted funds available to Supp The Boume Academy with any urgent fundin9 requests. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE BOURNE FOUNDATION I report on the accounts for the year ended 31* August 2025 set (xrt on pages Four to Seven. This report is made sdely to the chariws Trustees. as a body. in accordance with Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 and regulations made under Section 154 of that Act. My work has been undertaken so that I mtght state to the charity's Trustees those malters l am required to state to them in an Independent Examinerfs report and for no other purp)se. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility lo anyone other than the charity and charity's Truste8S as a body, for my work or for this report. Rospectlve responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charitys trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under Sedit)n 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (th8 2011 Act)) and that an indeperKlent examination is required. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts urKler Section 145 of the 2011 Act to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directw)ns given by the Charity Commission (under Section 145(51(b) of the 2011 Act)., and to state whether particular matters have comè to my attention. Basls of Ihe Independént examlnerfs report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by Ihe Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audtt, and consequently no opinion is given as lo vthether the accounts present 'true and fair view ' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the ststements below. Its principal activities are to advance the edu¢ation of students attending The Boume Academy (Boumemouth), through funding activitiés and projects and providing faaliti8s or equipment which support The Academy in educating its students. Income All income is r8cc*Jnised in Receipts and Payments once the charity has received funds. Expendlture All paym8nts are recognised in the Receipts and Payments Accounts when it is paid. Taxatlon The charity is exempt from tax on its charitsble activrties. Fund accounting General funds are unrestricted funds whth are available for use at the discrelion of the Trustees in furtherance of the gera1 obpctives of the chanty and which have not been d8signated for other purposes.
