||Humber conservation volunteers (HCV) has continued to support projects
for the benefit of the public.
HCV continues to work closely with PRAX Linsey Oil refinery on annual
maintenance of Burkinshaws Covert woodland. Although this land is not
open fully to the public it provides a much-needed conduit for the area’s
flora and fauna and limited public access is available to interest groups
and a Forest School. HCV has worked to enable access for the school.
Local apprentices have fulfilled their commitment to giving back to
community by spending a few days supporting HCV activity in
Burkinshaws Covert.
HCV members used their skills and qualifications to assist with public
access and habitat management on a local project at the Barrow Blow
Wells Nature Reserve.|

The ongoing woodland activities in Burkinshaws Covert has benefitted **Summary of the main** the natural environment of this area and helped facilitate access and **achievements of the charity** activities of the Forest School. The local apprentice college CATCH have **during the year** worked with HCV for mutual benefit.

HCV is a small charity and is able to finance its needs only, the only **Brief statement of the** requirement at the present time is to cover operating costs, this remains **charity’s policy on reserves** the primary objective with regard to funding. Issues of equipment theft and in 2025 the announced liquidation of Prax have and may continue to impact activity.
