I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 24/10/2025.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

(a) For the public benefit, the promotion of equality and diversity on the grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity, through the awarding of grants to organizations (including charitable organisations) within England and Wales who are: (i) Working to eliminate discrimination and inequality on the basis of an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity. (ii) advancing education and raising awareness of issues relating to sexual orientation or gender identity, and discrimination in connection thereof. (iii) Promoting activities to foster an understanding in relation to issues surrounding sexual orientation or gender identity; (iv) conducting or commissioning research on equality or diversity in relation to issues surrounding sexual orientation or gender identity, and publishing the results to the public; and (v) Cultivating a sentiment in favor of equality and diversity in relation to persons who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex. (b) For the public benefit, the advancement of health and the saving of person's lives, through the awarding of grants to organizations (including charitable organizations) within England and Wales who are conducting or commissioning research into the treatment and eradication of cancers, including (but not limited to) angiosarcoma. (c) For the public benefit, the relief of poverty, through the awarding of grants to persons (and organizations, including charitable organizations, working with such persons) within England and Wales who themselves (or whose families) are facing financial or other hardship during their treatment resulting from a diagnosis of cancer, including (but not limited to) angiosarcoma. |

As a small grant giving and grant receiving trust, we continue to keep our operating costs to a minimum. We work to ensure the financial support that we award makes a real difference to as many people as possible and across a range of different challenges, especially as we continue to witness even greater intolerance, repression, and hardship here and across the world. We take great care considering where funding will have the maximum impact and are also mindful of the need for a long-term approach in supporting some projects, research, organisations and events to enhance and protect the rights of LGBT+ people, awareness and support for cancer, notably Sarcoma. The projects and organizations that we have supported on this year are: LGBTQI homelessness;The Albert Kennedy Trustis tireless in |
| supporting LGBTQI homeless people (over 25% of youth homeless are | |
| LGBT+) and we were delighted to award them a grant for their Christmas | |
| appeal. | |
| Cancer diagnosis and treatmentcan be overwhelming, so we are | |
| continuing our work withSarcoma UKwith our three-year commitment to | |
| their services, supporting and advising individuals and their families | |
| affected by these rare cancers. | |
| We were proud to have established thePaul Cottingham Scholarship | |
| at theUniversity of Brighton. This Masters scholarship was developed | |
| to help promote gender diversity in higher education and society, and to | |
| contribute to Social Research related to trans experiences, rights and to | |
| challenge institutional negativity in wider debates about gender. Building | |
| on our relationship with the university we have established a PhD to | |
| further develop understanding relating to sexual and gender(ed) | |
| diversities.The PhD proposalis a underway and a post graduate in | |
| place. | |
| Mosaic LGBT+ young persons’ trustoffers a vital lifeline to LGBT+ | |
| young persons, many of whom experience family rejection, faith conflicts, | |
| and a lack of culturally competent support. The Paul Cottingham Trust will | |
| fund theirResilient Mindsproject, an initiative that will provide tailored, | |
| trauma informed mental health support to 48 LGBT plus young persons | |
| aged 12-18, who face significant challenges including social isolation, | |
| identity related distress and mental health struggles. | |
| The Free Shopis a community lead project reaching extremely | |
| vulnerable families. Their work is currently focused on Lebanon where | |
| they are working to prevent and relieve poverty amongst families living in | |
| the Bekaa valley. They support over 26,000 individuals every year with | |
| clothing, food packs, and free menstrual health products. They also | |
| undertake individual case work, provide a menstrual health project and a | |
| free shop - a physical space where people browse, access clothes, | |
| shoes, bedding, hygiene items toys and more with freedom of choice. | |
| Ditch the Labelis a small UK wide charity providing an essential lifeline | |
| for children and young people aged 12-25 aimed at reducing the impact | |
| and prominence of bullying. All their support services, accessed through | |
| their website, are led by a clinical education psychologist and are | |
| completely free for young people to access, available with little to no | |
| waiting times, and can accommodate ongoing support where needed. | |
| Many of those who use their services live in the 20% most deprived | |
| neighborhoods in the country. | |
| Inspire LGBT (It Gets Better)provide LGBTQ+ young people with hope | |
| and offers them examples of what life can look like for LGBTQ+ people | |
| and what they can achieve. They work across the UK delivering their | |
| message of strength and resilience both at local Pride events and | |
| workshops, and also online in the digital space. Interventions aim to allow | |
| young LGBTQ+ people to speak about and seek support around |

issues they have faced. They also serve to support them to increase their confidence, resilience, and mental wellbeing whilst at the same time building a local support network around them. SPECTRA offer community-based health and wellbeing services that aim to reduce stigma and improve the health and confidence of those who reach out to them. Their community led services are free at the point of access and include; Health advocacy and casework for trans, gender diverse and sex worker communities, sexual health education for neurodiverse, SEND young people and their carers, community-based HIV testing, outreach and education, sexual health and LGBTQ+ education for carers, teachers and healthcare staff. Additionally, there is Peer led counselling, social groups, mentoring and art therapy for trans adults, and mentoring and social groups for LGBTQIA+ young adults. Trans-specific services reach around 900 people per year.
