Stradbroke Trust – Annual Report May 2021 to April 2022
Another successful year at the allotments with all plots let. Mary Thompson’s enthusiasm and hard work running various events as well as supporting the group as a whole has proved paramount.
The Trust has finally agreed terms with UK Power Networks for wayleave payments relating to their equipment on and under our land resulting in a payment of £986.43 for the previous 7 years. Annual payments in future should be £118.19 (plus any adjustment for inflation).
Following the decision by HSBC bank to start making charges on charity accounts we decided to transfer our account to the Co-operative Bank. There has been significant delay in implementing the transfer but it finally happened on 14[th] July 2022.
We are very pleased to welcome two new trustees; Richard Alexandre and Louise Smith and we hope this ‘injection’ of new ideas and energy will help further develop the trust going forward.
Finally, my thanks to all trustees for continuing their support through the year. I shall be standing down at the AGM but wish the Trust a successful future.
