I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2023.
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
-
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Section C Objectives and activities
- (i) To relieve financial hardship, distress and suffering among poor people, widows, orphans, refugees, victims of natural disasters and other people in need, by means of, but not exclusively, making grants or loans for providing or paying for items, equipment, services and facilities, including the establishment of water wells and the provision of food, clothing, and accommodation for the said persons;

(ii) To advance education for the benefit of the underprivileged, those at risk of exclusion from schools and the general public by means of, but not exclusively, the provision or the assistance in the provision of mentoring, career counselling and other educational activities as determined from time to time for public benefit;

(iii) To help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society;

(iv) To promote racial and religious harmony for the benefit of the public by promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between different racial and faith groups, in ways that reduces conflict and creates trust, unity and peace between them;

(v) To advance the religion of Islam, by means of, but not exclusively, promoting the teachings and tenets of Islam, and provision of facilities for Islamic education, in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’aan and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as expounded by the Ahle-Sunnah-Wal-Jamaah;

(vi) The relief of distress and suffering, and the preservation and protection of the mental and physical health, for public benefit, particularly, but not exclusively, of those who have suffered or are exposed to domestic abuse, by provision of advice and information and such ways as shall be determined from time to time.

During the period, we raised funds for the flood victims in Pakistan, Qurbanis and to support people in hardship benefitting over 600 people, including 250 people helped with Qurbanis performed and a widow supported with her accommodation. Support for flood victims included medical camp access for check-ups, hospital treatment for 19 sick persons and repair of a bridge benefitting many local people. Many of the people supported are those in financial hardship, including poor, widows, orphans and sick. During the year, we have continued to raise the profile of the charity to garner more support among other charities and the public. We achieved this by increasing our donations.
The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and are satisfied that the charity is benefitting the public.
