Support
The amount of support offered thi8 year has been greatly increased thanks to the suc¢E5s in fundraising and in th¢
awareness raised of our serviccs. Wc delivered 156 hour5 of tailored Signposting and listentng ear support to individuals
in need of mentsl health care/¢risis interventions. lan inCre￿e from the 98 provided 1¥5t yedr.) Ti)is year, we saw a huge
increase in the demand for our funded ¢ounselling service, from 83 sessions in 23124 to 378 in 24Q5.
Our teain coniinues to learn and grow Iheir owi skills and knowledge- it]cluding couns¢llin8 ski115, awareness of suicide
and n¢uTodiv¢r5ity, dorklestic and 5¢xyal abuse and how suicide iTnpacts the LGBTQ* and racialised communities. We
ar¢ ¢tsiitints3lly learning and ensuring we maintain a trauma-lnfornicd approach that is accessiblc to all residents of
Buckinghfimshire, Hertfordshire and Be(6ford8hire. Our WOTk this year saw an increase in demand trom the CJyP8y &

closely with representatives in both Buckinghamshire and Hertford5hire Councils to improve our accessibility.
We hav¢ delivered over 156 hours of support groups this year {up fr9rn 107 in 23124), with many attendees needing

Our future support goals are to continue the growth and qualsty of our service5. which will be Iielped with the hi￿ of a

Reserves policy
Restricted Reserwe5
We were fortunate ts) 5¢cur¢ a i?uniber of grants to fvnd our support serviccs. OUT Testricted Te5erves are £40,781.
StaterneDt of the ch&rity's policy on reserves
In .%etting the reserves policy, the Board of Trustee5 considers the need to provi(fe against any future incorne shorrfall,
Iftl M'oriung capital requirem¢nts and allow ￿ndS to be available to support servi¢e dev¢lopments. This is balanced
againstthe n¢ed to 5p¢nd resc￿e5 now to deliver services to meet beneficiary needs.
The target lange foT free reserves has been set at between six and twelve months of general expenditure, which as of 31
March 2025 equal¢s to £83,055 and £166.109 respectivelj. We are fortunate to hav¢ free iEseTves of£1 89.980.
Our administration costs have contiiiued to increase thi5 year due to the hire of a new member of staff and to mtet the
growing demands of our 8eTTrices.l-hi8 has b¢¢n ii)¢redibl) beneficial to the ¢hariry as we have seen an in¢￿se in
demand cn5uring cvcry pcr50n (beneficiary or fiindraiscr} receivcs the best care and attention possible.
With the increasing demands for suppot¢ we always need to keep funds in hand to offer an immediate response, and to
ensure 12 inonths of continued beneficiary c2re. Our ultimate goal r¢m&ins to have a physical Hector's House building
with LounsellingF rooms, VtYiLes for staff and volunteers, training Too￿. wellbeing roon￿ necessary equipment. The
reserves need to continue to build for the trustees tQ Lonsider designalin¥ funds for this facility, whether rented or
bought. It 15 believed the curr¢nt level of reserves are not ¢xces5ive given the increasing Losts in the year ahead, the
funds raised are all ad hoc and grant funding remains time Consuming and challenging in tht current economic clitnate.
