The PCC is also speclfltally responslble forthe maintenance of St. Leonard's Church. The Square. Eynsham and St. Leonards Church Hall, Thames Street, Eynsham. Objecllves and Actlvltles The PCC Is cornmltted to enabllng as many people as posslble to worshlp at our ¢hur¢h and to become part of our parlsh tomrnunity at St. Leonard's. The PCC malntains an overview of worship throughout the parish and makes su8gestion5 on how Duf Services can involve the many groups that live within our parish. Our services and worship put faith into practlce through prayer and strlpiurÈ, muslc and sacrament. When planning ouractlvltles for theyear, the Incumbent and the PCC have considered the Cornmisslon'sKuldan¢e on public benefi't and, in particular. the supplementary 8uidan¢e on charities lor the advancernent of religion. In particular, we try to enable ordinary people to live out thelrfolth a5 part of our parish cornmunity through.. Publlc Beneflt The trustees have had due regard to the Charlties Commission Public Beneflt General Guidance in the way the work of the Charity is planned and provldÈd. The benefit the charity provides to the publlc Is to provlde re8ular publlc worship open to 811 and to provide a sacred space for personal prayer and conternplation, and prornotin8 the whole mission ol the Church through provision of activities for senlor ¢lt12ens, parents and toddler5 and other Special needs Broups. These include 9.00 a.m. where a more tradltlonal Communlon SeNlce takes place twlce month and 10.30 a.m. where a more Informal, but stlll structured, varlety of servlces takes place, including Communlon, MornlnÈ Worship and All in Servlces. There Is also a Families At 4 Servlce once a month In the afternoon. Muslc Is also provlded In a varlety of forms. uslng both organ and plaTh) and from a number of dlflerent MusSc Groups who lead the servlces, usln8 both tr3dltional Hymns and more modern songs. SpecI31 servlces are also held for Remembrance Sunday, Memorial Service for the famllles of the Bereaved. as well as Chrlstlngle 3nd a numberof Carol ServSces at Chr15tmas for dlfferent sections of the communltv.

At October 2024 there were 167 parishloners on the Church Electoral Roll. 32 of whom are not resident within the parish. 12 names were added during the year and 2 were removed through death. The average weeklyadult attendante counted durlnE October 2024, was90ex¢ludlngthtsse watchlng on Ilne butthls number In¢ased at festlvals. There Is also an average of 13 chlldren andyoung people attendlng. As well as our regular Sete$, we enable our tommunity to celebrate and thènk God at the milestones of the Journey through Ilfe. Throu8h Baptlsm we thank God for the glft of life, In marriage publlc vows are exchanged wlth God's blessing and through funÈral servlces friends and family express thelr grlef and glve thanks for the Ilfe whlch Is now complete in thls world and to commend the person into God's keeping. We have celebrated l B3Ptlsm, I Weddlrng and held 17 funerals In our thurch this year. Deanerysynod Three members of the PCC slt on the Deanery Synod. Thls provldes the PCC wlth an Important Ilnk between the parlsh and the wider structures of the church at both Deanery and Dloce53n level. Guest speakers from the Diocese of Oxford were invited to speak at Synod Meetin8s durlng the year. and spoke on the Dlocesan flnances and Creatlon care In our churche5. psentatIOnSWere èlsogiven on Inltiatlveswithln 3 of the Benelices in the Deanery and furtherupdates onthe Pi18rim Paths project for the Deanery. The Church Bulldlngs We would Ilke ourchurch to be open to our communltyfor prlvate prayer all the tlme butat present Ithas onlybeen posslble to leave the chur¢h open for some days during the week. The ongoin8 need for repalrs In both the Church and Church Hall has been recognlsed and regular prowsion is being made from general income towards known repalr costs that will be requSred to both buildings. Plan5 are belng formulated to replace the lightlnÉ In Church over the next two years. Durlng the week the hall Is normally used by our morhers and toddlers on Monday mornlng and a Rood number of chlldren and their carers. mother5, father5 and other carers, have been regular attenders at thls group. The Hall also has a substantlal number of outside lettings during the week. A group for Mothers-to-be znd young Mothers also runs In the Church on Monday mornings, and Youth Cell Groups have rnet in homes on three evenin8$ each week. A Warm Welcome In5tlèt5ve Is run In the Church on Wednesdty mornings 8nd thls has proved popular wlth between 20 and 30 members of the ¢ommunity meetlng together for coffee and a chat. Postorol Core Some mernbers of our parlsh are unable to attend church due to sickness or age. Reverend Ouncan Fraser has vlslted all church members who have requested IL to ttlebrate communlon wlth them elther at thelr homes Dr In hospital. It Ss hoped that a Pastoral Team will be establlshed wlthln the next year to assist Duncan with vlslting and carlng for the church communlty. Mlsslon ondEvangeli5m Helping those In need is a demonstr?tlon of our faith. The PCC ha5 continued to give away IO% of the regular unfestrlcted giving from church members to a varlety of Mlssion actlvltles as detslled In the accounts and ha5 also ralsed awareness of Mission by focusln8 on a particular Mlsslon Agency during month5 of the year. Weekly Fellowship Groups also provide a means of buildiTh8 UP the falth of those w5thln the reBular congre8atlon.

Baptist and Catholic) have contlnued to work together durlng the year and a lolnt outdoor service Is held on Good Friday each year. Otherlolnt events. such as One World Week, are planned bythe churches workln8 togethergroup. Flnanclal Revlew Total receipts on unrestrlcted funds were £177,659 and on restrlcted fvnds were £27.807. Total Commltted Elvlng decreased by 2.6 % durfng the year. Total payments on unrestricted fund5 were £170,516 and on restricted funds were £20.465 as detalled In the Financlal Statements. This represented a net Increase of £7,143 on unrestricted funds and a net decrease of £658 on restricted funds in the year. The net movement on unrestricted funds for the year was an excess of Income over expendlture of £7,389 out of whlch £12,000 has been allocated to Oesignated Funds per note 18 to the atfounts. ThÈ total unrestricted funds at 31 DetembÈr 2024 Increased from £640.277 to £647.666 but all except £56,711 of these unrestrl¢ted funds has been allocated towards spetlflc PTolects. The net movement on restrlcted funds fortheyearwas a deflcit of expenditure over income of £658 and the total restrlcted funds at 31 DeM[)er 2024 decreased from £6,208 to £5,550. Re$eTve5 policy It Is PCC policy to try to maintairs a balance on unrestricted funds which equates to at least three months unrestricted payments, equwalent to £42.629, to cover emergency situations that may arise from time to time. Thls target 1$ at present being met. £74.713 had been designated towards Specific Church Buildin8 Repairs and £39,737 towards spetillc Hall 8uilding Repairs at 31 December 2024.
