Policy on grant making

solely to St George's Memorial Church in

church. This granl largely took place on
completion of the installation in 2017,
although residual work continued into 2018.
Items of a moveable nature thal are placed
in the church for use by ringers, church
members and visitors will generally remain
in Ihe ownership of the charity and this will
be clearly indicated. Ex¢eptions to this
policy to be approved case by case by Ihe
Trustees. No grants were made in 2024.

Policies and procedures
adopted for the induction
and training of trustees
Para 1.51
We work closely with the Chaplain and
Church Council of St George's Church,
Ypres in s6veral ways. The use of th8 bells
for their Charitable purpose depends on
having visiting ringers and a local band of
ringers. We have agréement with the
Council relating to ongoing access to, and
use of, the bells at all reasonable times
logelher with facililating the training of new
ringers and fostering its success (involving
promotion in church publications, notices,
the church website and in relevanl
meetings). We also have agreement in
relation to the showing of recorded
audiolvideo content in the church and some
practical aspects of this. The main part of
this is structured educational material on
the history of bells and change ringing and
the practical aspects of how bells are rung.
Multiple languages can be involved. The
required arrangefflents for tower trips for
visitors have also been discussed and
agreed in principle, although Insuran￿ and
health and safety considerations apply. The
Council remains enthusiastic about the
bèlls and we are satisfied with the
undertakings given by them.
