ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMAN
The Children's Hyperinsullnlsm Charity supports famllles of thlldren wlth Hyperlnsulinism.
We also raise awareness of Hyperinsulinism and campaign for greater wjblic awareness of
the slgns and symptoms of Hypo8lycaemia. In addltlon, we hold family fun d•￿,
conferences, teachertraining days and support researth.
In 2022 we continued to explore W￿t0 support ourfamilies. We provided summer fun days
at Legoland and Hamln8oland a5 well as a Festlve Fun Dayto Harry Potterstudlos.
Thls allowed parents, CHI thlldren and their siblings the opportunltyto corne together
for friendshlp and fun.

It allows us to reach them at the very beginning of thelr Hyperinsulinism journey
so they no longerfeel Isolated or alone. We plan to continue and extend thls Inltlatfv
We have enjoyed anotheryear of belng able to offer ourfamllle5 some fantastleVIP
experlences courtesy of our ¢)n-8olng relatlonshlp with the charity Box 4 Klds.
Thls has resulted In HI famllies enioyln8 ond beneffttlTr8 from varlous VIP experlences,
such as horse radng days, musk ￿ncerts and foothall match& hjl of vthlth provlded
a re81 treat to HI chlldren and a much needed boost to thelr self-esteem and we114xln&
We took part In Hypo Awareness Wedx and Rare Dlsease Day, offerfng the fdmilleswe
support the chance to share thelr courageous storfes of lfving with HypeTingJlinism
to Insplre and show unltytowards the rare communlty. We were a150 dell8hted to launch
our own sodal medla trdller, desl8ned to ralse awareness of frty￿rfn$ul1n1Wft and our Charlty.
We looked Into new waysto supportfamilles and h(M we could achieve thls by networklng
wlth other Charltles and organisation& In 2022 we were delighted to work wlth 8reaklng
Down Barrlers Nel8hbourly. GeneticAlliance. D55abled thildrerfs Partnershlp.
BEAM campalqn, Youn8 Slbs and the SunflowerSthem& Asa resulL we are explorlng
how we can reach new communttie4 offer nwre support to ￿￿Ing$ and enable
Hyperlnsullnlsm chlldren to access support and understanding In their communttie5 bv
worktng wlth the Sunflower scheme and produdng our own bespoke sunfiower card.
Our podcast HypoHugs contlnued to Inforni and update our HI communlty.
As well as to share famlly experie￿ of daity Ilvln8 and deallng wlth the challenges that
Hyperfnsullnlsm bdn8S.
During 2022 we were fortunateto have the contlnued siwpcfft of our fundralser&
We had Tunners In the Great North Run and CHI famlly or8anised events suth as Lryan's Golf
Day hugelvwccessful annual eventwhich was strorth supported byfriends and the local
communtty. We are always delighted to hear of CHI chlldren f￿r￿raIsITr8 for us and this
year were honoured to received £150 from Amell4 vtho had produced and Sold some
beautlful Jewellery.
