Objectives and Activities
Shukran Foundation is committed to relieving poverty and hardship among disadvantaged individuals and families, particularly in Bangladesh and Africa, as well as other areas identified by the trustees. The charity focuses on providing shelter, food, education, and welfare support to those most in need.
During 2024, the Foundation carried out a series of targeted charitable initiatives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable communities. Its key areas of focus included construction and repair of homes, distribution of food, education support, and general welfare assistance.
Achievements and Impact (2024)
Bangladesh

Built a brick-walled house with tin roof and kitchen for a poor family (£1,490.07).

Constructed a similar home for a teacher living in a tin shack with his family (£1,490.07).

Provided a new tin roof for an elderly couple living in deteriorating conditions (£223.51).

Assisted a young couple by installing a tin roof to prevent water leaks (£126.66).

Distributed food parcels to around 200 people containing essentials such as rice and vegetables (£1,169.70).

Paid school fees for approximately 80 underprivileged children and provided textbooks and learning materials (£496.69).
Somalia
- Constructed a modest two-room house with a small kitchen for a poor family (£1,802.50).
Financial Review
During the financial year ended 31 December 2024, Shukran Foundation received kind donations from its supporters, family, and friends. All funds raised were used directly for charitable activities. No administrative costs, salaries, or trustee payments were incurred.

Plans for the Future (2025)
In 2025, Shukran Foundation aims to expand its housing and shelter programmes in Bangladesh and Somalia, increase support for children’s education, strengthen fundraising capacity, and develop partnerships with local charities to ensure transparency and effective delivery of aid. The Foundation remains entirely volunteer-led, ensuring that every donation directly benefits those in need.
