Summary of Objectives: The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage living in Bangladesh/Africa and such other parts of the world as the trustees shall from time to time determine.

Summary of Activities: Shukran Foundation in the year 2022 was involved in many activities including some of the following: Clothing for the poor Livelihood grants Education fees for under 16's Housing and shelter

Summary of Achievements:

During the year 2022 Shukran Foundation achieved the following

  1. Built two houses for in Somalia. Houses were brick wall and tin roof with a small cooking area. We were unable to complete the painting of the house due to lack of funds.

  2. Winter blankets and clothing women and children in Bangladesh.

  3. Bangladesh experienced major floods in 2022. Shukran spent approximately 2k on delivering food packets and general help to Bangladesh flood victims.

Financial Review:

For the period 01 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 the charity received £10,065.00 in donations and spent approximately £11,575 on charitable activities.

Future Plans:

Shukran Foundation’s future plan is to use social media more actively to raise funds, instead of relying on a select group of regular donors. After various requests, in 2022 we also updated the charity commission website to conclude religious activities including building or upgrading places for worship in Africa.

Our aim is to help improve the lives of people in Africa and Asia and work for a just and tolerant society.
