## **Introduction**
During the year, HOOP (UK) raised funds through donations from private individuals.
## **Allocation of Funds**
Combining the previously received Dorfred grant of £952 with private donations accrued over the year, HOOP (UK) contributed £3,500 to Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru (HOOP Peru) to support the Ruwana Project.
## **Ruwana Project Overview**
The Ruwana Project is an initiative supporting a group of skilled craftswomen from the Northern Cone of Arequipa, Peru. These women, supported by HOOP Peru, utilise their artisanal talents to create high-quality garments and handicrafts, helping them secure a sustainable income and gain financial independence.
## **Impact of the Donation**
The contribution from HOOP (UK) was used to purchase wool and materials needed to produce these garments. The women have since expanded their range of products, showcasing their artistry and craftsmanship in a newly created professional catalogue. This initiative allows them to reach a wider audience and increase sales.

## **Conclusion**
