There is a 24 hour telephone service and all calls are responded to swiftly by staff.
The charity’s policy on reserves
The management Committee of Enough believes that the charity should hold financial reserves (if possible) as an emergency operating reserve because:
(a) It has no endowment funding and is entirely depending for its operating costs on grant funding which is currently applied for from year to year and which is inevitable subject to fluctuation and donations; and
(b) It requires protection against and the ability to continue operating despite fluctuations in funding or shortfalls that may occur as a result of gaps in funding grants.
The Management Committee of Enough believes that the minimum level of reserves should be the equivalent of three months’ operating costs calculated and reviewed annually and believe that the reserve should be built up to the desired level in stages consistent with the charity’s overall financial position and its need to maintain and develop its charitable activities.
