Trustees' Annual Report
For the year ended 31 August 2025
Registered Charity Number: 1165422
Achievements and Performance
The year ended 31 August 2025 saw significant and continued progress in the construction of the Mosque, which remains the charity's primary project. Key milestones achieved during the year were:
-
Phase 3 of the building works was completed, comprising the drainage and steelworks. This represents an important structural milestone in the overall project.
-
Contractors for Phase 4 were appointed. This phase covers the construction of the walls, windows, doors, roof and dome, and marks the next major stage in bringing the building towards completion.
The trustees are pleased with the steady momentum of the construction programme and are grateful to the donors, volunteers and members of the community whose continued generosity and support have made this progress possible.
Financial Review
The trustees continue to monitor the charity's finances closely to ensure that funds are applied effectively towards the construction of the Mosque and the charity's wider objectives. The trustees are satisfied that the charity has adequate resources to continue its activities and to meet its obligations as they fall due .
Plans for the Future
Looking ahead, the trustees' principal focus will be the delivery of Phase 4 of the construction works — the walls, windows, doors, roof and dome — and the continued fundraising required to support the project through to completion. The trustees remain committed to delivering the Mosque for the benefit of the community and to managing the charity's resources prudently throughout.
Trustees' Responsibilities and Approval
The trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity and for ensuring that it operates in accordance with its governing document and charity law.
This report was approved by the trustees and signed on their behalf.
