base together wilh 0￿r long-standin9 partnership wilh Dogs Trusl Ènsures wo can provide &XC8118nl
dogs and traini￿ wilh an exc8plion81 programme that is unique lo ¢he induslry.
We are the ONLY accredltÈd asslstanco dog charity serving both Vètèrans from th¢ Armèd
Forc85 and Emérgancy Sèrvlces In the UK.
WÈ remaln the only 8c¢redlted assistanc6 dog eha¥ity that uses malnly dogs from 're$¢ue' In
theUK.
During 2024125 T￿InIng continued al the South Coast, th8 South Wost and th8 now established Ess8x
Hub. We also prepared for our newest hub in the Chillernstrhames Valley area. All Hubs continu& to
benefit gr8ally from volunteers and fosters who help us transform our're$cue' dogs to assistanc8 dog
candidates. The Hub Manager5 al each location have eslablished positive working environm8nts that
draw the best out of our V8terans and volunleels and are highly conducive to the training that w8 do.
Our Canines and Comrades Dog Walk and Talk groups at each Ioc(ItiOll Lurilinue to thrive and 1111 an
important 'gap' in the livos of our Veterans. 11 helps to make Ihem leel'conne¢led' and we will conlinue
lo emulate Ihls al other locations when we gxpand furlhei.. Th6 origlnal Ilnanang for thls was in order
lo support our Veterans following Ihe wilhdrawal Lkl Brilish lorces from Alghanis18n. A8 part of a
succes81ul Armed Force5 Covenanlgrant under Ihe tille., Canines and Comrades afler Conflict we were
abl& Io 8xpand this and incr88s8 Train￿ hours to provide a Canines and Comrades Dog walk and Talk
group. These groups are proving to be hugely successful. we are uli11glng Whatsapp groups across
Hubs and our vetera￿ are making friends and sh8ring information as well as provSdSng peer support
lo Each other. We link in wilh olher V8ter8n groups artd breakfast clubs so that wè can collaborate with
oihers to oive further layers ol support. W8 have now consolidated our PTocedure5 and policles and

Chair of tlie Board of Trustees is part ol Iho ADUK Chairs Group and is w811 placed to keep abTeasl of
developments and opportunities throughout the sector.

awareness and lo provide support by visiting breakfast clubs, military bases. hospitals. fire stations and
p¢Trlic8 events. We continue workin9 lo ensuie Ihal our Veteran parlnerships and our charily are well
r8pr8sented and thal together we can positively influence the gov6rnm8nt in r8gard8 to asslstaneè dog
mall8rs. Th8 m8niorlno scheme iemains well eslab1ish8d aiid has ￿N1•nued to provide support lo
veterans who are new lo the SDUK prooramine. On-qoing contact and support has been Inainlain8d
with all picviously graduated client partnerships. Sufficient funds ¢onlinued lo be raised lo eTEable further

service people via the media. includlng soclal media. Our monltoring ol our Veterans througl) surveys

April 2024 10 31st March 2025 we hav¢ had 9 lurther Veteran and Assislance Partnershlps
ac¢¥ediled. There ale now many moi'¢ partnerships across threE Hubs woiklng toward5 accredltallon
with further veleians walllng lo start on the programnie. We have increased th8 ntfmb8r of volunteeT
Irain8rs to meei the demai)d and we have secured sui18b18 dogs lor ongoing 8ssesstnenl in fosler
homes. se￿lee Dogs UK remalns an important asset In Pra￿dIng 'knaw-how' and support to the
National Police Wellbeing SeNlce and the Wellbeing ancl Trauma Sijpport Dogs which 18 going from
strength lo strength. Thè natitsnal lèad lor this highly successful initiative is the charily's volunteer
Op8¥ational Director, Trustee and Founder. The charity 15 fully supportfve ol the scl)eme whlch provides
much needed support lo Iho8e that serve, we proud to be associated with it and will eonlinue to

We are awaro that as an organisètlon we are only able to asslst Veterans who are able to commule to

expand our'lrièd and lesled. model lo new areas so that w6 can support more Veterans and provide
our seNiee in other locations. We continue to explore the opportunities of further expansion in other
alea5 Subject to securing surritlent funding to do so.

etc. WÉ were successful in c)biaining a grant f¥om Pets Foundation and have enjoyed belng part ol Ihelr
C¢>mmunity Partnership programm8 m6aning we had the opportunity to raise funds in store al Pels al
Home and be benefi¢iaiies of Iheir fundiaising. W8 continuè to sèèk sponsorship from comp8nles,
