The Cheltenham Symphony Orchestrd Charity has as its main objert the advancement of the art of
symphonic music making for the public benefft in particular by bringin8 thi5 music and the art form
to audien￿5 in cI￿lten￿M and to towns and vllla8es within Gloucestershire arrfl bordering counties
and beyond.
During the year the or¢hestra perforn￿l four concerts to the general pubfic before re5trlctlon5
arising from the Covid-19 pandemic curtailed activitie& Three of these concert5 were to audiences
in Cheltenham and one la charity concert in aid of the Famiers Overseas ktbon Group) in Pershore.
Two further con￿rtS were planned but had to be cancelled.
Durlng the perlod of the restrktions the orchestra produced a virtual recording of Nimrod from
Elgarfs Enigma Variatlons and made this avallable to the public on YouTube.

The Trustees met forn)ally on five occaslons during the year to discuss the affairs of the charity. In
addltlon they held an Infonnal meetln8 to dlscuss future wogrnmme.
Income from concert proceeds, grants and members totalled £18.306 for the year whlch after costs
of mountlng the concerts and sundry expense of £15.928 resufted in an operating surplus for the
year of £2,378. In addition. a le8acy donation of £5.IXKI was recelved Increasing total income to
£23,306 and surplus for the year to £7.378. Net assets as at 31 August 2020 including the legacv
donation totalled £29,953.
