Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Our main achievement has been the
continuing success of our mentorship
programme, as evidenced by positive
feedback from mentors and mentees. The
programme connects students from
underrepresented backgrounds with
clinicians and scientists from different
countries, fostering a more diverse and
inclusive future for the field of neurology.
Some mentees secured placements in
residency programs, received healthcare
entrepreneurship awards, and
significantly improved their scientific
projects. By supporting the next
generation of scientists and clinicians,
our activities contribute to a more
knowledgeable and well-equipped
workforce tackling neurological
challenges. This, in turn, benefits society
as a whole by leading to advancements in
diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately,
improved patient outcomes.
