## Friends of Llangollen Health Centre Annual Report 

## - st Year ending 31 January 2025. 

## 1.0 Finances 

The end of the year saw the total cash held in the bank account of £80,632 including £52,397 invested in a fixed-interest account. The anniversary of the latter account is 26[th] January when we will receive the annual interest. A decision will then need to be taken regarding further investing. 

## 2.0 Community Initatves 

## 2.1 Applications for support 

Within the year there were several proposals made to the Trustees for funding. The ones that were supported by the Trustees included: 

- Health Centre Community Liaison Role 

- Emergency Response kits for both the Llangollen and Glyndyfrdwy   Health Centres. 

- Medical books to provide education for chronic illnesses 

- RAFA Disability Bowls team 

- Continued support for the Foodshare charity that operates within Llangollen 

The proposals that were not supported by the Trustees included: 

- Llangollen Summer Fete 

## 2.2 Coffee Shop 

After a significant amount of time and effort expended on trying to re-open the coffee shop it was decided at the September meeting that the process had become too complicated and therefore the project was abandoned 

## 3.0 Trustee Members 

At the March Trustee meeting both Mr C. Lund and Mr D. Williams resigned as Trustees. 

## 4.0 Social Media 

During the year it was decided by the Trustees that the charity needed to gain a higher profile within the community, not only to educate people on the work that we do and the projects that we support, but also to attract applicants for the Trustee role. To this end David Latham-Cruse (Trustee) agreed to develop a Social Media Policy Process given his experience in this area. David said he would prepare updates at each Trustee meeting.
