Purposes and Aims

We support the work of Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation International which in turn co-operates and liaises with other entities with similar objectives to raise funds and promote Blue Dragon and the objectives of Blue Dragon in Southeast Asia

Charitable objects

The CIO was established for the public benefit to relieve those who are vulnerable and in need by reason of youth, poverty or other social and economic disadvantage in any part of the world but primarily in Vietnam and southeast Asia.

Blue Dragon provides a safe environment, legal and other support, guidance, healthcare, food and education training. Education training can include vocational training along with generally schooling, anything necessary to help a vulnerable child or young person. Blue Dragon provides accommodation for children who are homeless or those who no longer can live in the familial homes.

Blue Dragon provides financial and other assistance to families of children and young people who suffer from the problems highlighted above.

Blue Dragon UK promotes the CIO in the UK to help raise funds for the work in Southeast Asia

Focus of work raising awareness of the plight of the vulnerable in Vietnam and Southeast Asia and raising funds

To date, Blue Dragon has: Rescued 1,388 people from trafficking Represented 256 people in court cases Sent 6,305 kids back to school & training Provided shelter to 1,618 girls & boys Placed 442 teens in jobs Served 665,725 meals Built 262 homes for families Reunited 764 runaways with their families Obtained legal papers for 13,543 people Played 3,446 games of soccer!

Outreach

Attending Vietnamese Embassy Functions. Vietnam UK Diplomatic functions. Liaising with Viet Pro group and attending functions in order to do presentations. Social Media outreach

Reserves policy keep £10k in the bank account send the surplus to Blue Dragon International

Plans for the future. Increase our social media presence in the UK in order to gain more donations

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 12 / 2023

Responsibilities and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
