Report from the Chair of the trustees. July 01 2021 - June 30 2022
The centre has continued to expand the activities on offer to the local community. A Well Being Cafe is now fully established serving the needs of those individuals who benefit from friendship,support and the chance to take part in creative activities. There was a short course offering exercise for women which was then followed by a walking for health group.
There are now regular boxing classes for men and girls and the cnetre is used regularly for youth groups such as Scouts and beavers.
Funding has been successfully applied for and work with the Methodist Circuit has continued towards securing a long term lease.
Future plans include the teaching of English as a second language,the teaching of basic computer skills and opportunities for a mens group.
The number of trustees has increased with new members bring a wider range of skills to enable even more effective governance and management of the centre. A year of many achievements and improvements overall.
