For the public benefit to promote the education (including social<br>and physical training) of young people, in particular school pupils<br>in Northumberland and surrounding counties<br>2. To help young people in Northumberland and surrounding<br>counties, especially but not exclusively through leisure time<br>activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to<br>full maturity as individuals and members of society.<br>3. To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Northumberland<br>and surrounding counties and the surrounding area the provision<br>of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of<br>individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their<br>youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social<br>and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the<br>interests of social welfare and with the object of improving  the<br>Condition of life of the said inhabitants|

## **Achievements and Performance** 

- **Post  Covid and Storm Arwen:**  **Financial stability maintained throughout 2021-2022,**

- Some visitors did manage to make it up to Milkhope, so there was some income, but not as much as a “normal” year. 

- Continued improvement in facilities both indoor and outdoor, despite lack of significant access. New ceilings in social area, retaining wall and additional car parking spaces created on approach to the centre and 4 new additional batteries for solar power system. Lots of catchup jobs also undertaken. 

- Improved links with a variety of local groups ready for reopening and visits to start again.
