GOODNEWS ASSEMBLIES OF GOD TRUSTEES REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2021
Charity Number: 1165 142
I present the Report for the year to 31 December 2021. The Message for this year was ' NEW BEGINNING’ God was assuring us that, we are starting afresh from the pandemic. Things are going to be new this year. Members were assured of His loving care and support and admonished to keep holding unto Him as He is always in control.
COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND ITS IMPACT ON THE MINISTRY
We were able to resume our usual face to face fellowship when the lockdown was over. However, we still combine the meetings with the online one as we have had patronage from outside our local community
POSITIVE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC
As Romans 8:28 says ‘’For we know that all things work together for good for those who love The Lord, even to those who have been called according to HIS purpose’’ In spite of all the negative effects of the pandemic with its lockdowns and lack of physical fellowship; The LORD brought a new wave of fellowship via the online service. With this new wage, brethren outside Manchester were able to join us for the first time online. We were able to fellowship with people from Russia, Eswatini-in Southern Africa and Nigeria which were all outside the UK. In the UK, we also had people from Leeds and London also fellowshipping with us. All these wouldn’t have been possible if it has not been the pandemic.
CHURCH OFFICE
Once again, our Church office address has changed to Office No. 1A City View offices. 99 Long Street. Manchester. M24 6UN
COMMUNITY IMPACT
This year our usual litter picking in the Collyhurst area was suspended due to the pandemic and the lockdown.
YOUTH AWAKENING CONFERENCE
We are yet to resume the YAC as trustees are still trying to study the environment to ensure we operate at a healthy environment which is free of covid
LOOKING FORWARD
We continue with our plan to engage more on the youth, as they are the future leaders. The more their lives are better shaped the better for the future of our country. JESUS IS THE ANSWER.

Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiners
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to:

Basis of Independent Examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide
audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner’s statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
-
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act
-
and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the
-
accounting requirements of the 2011 Act have not been met or
